4 Weeks are in the books. I think we have a better idea of how our teams are looking. Predict your record against the remainder of your schedule. Who do you beat? Who do you lose to?

If Brent Stockstill is not back for a while, we will fall into a tailspin... lose to FAU, escape with a win over FIU, lose to UAB and Marshall, beat UTEP and Charlotte, then lose to WKU and ODU for a record of 5-7. If he returns for the FAU game, we'll beat them, FIU, and UAB, lose to Marshall, beat UTEP and Charlotte, lose to WKU, then beat ODU for a record of 8-4.

Think we can win them all if we stay healthy. This team is deep on defense and reminds me (so far) of the late 90's early 2000's USM defenses which ironically were coach some by Jay Hopson.

Ok, we sit at 2-2 with an FCS win and an FBS win over a former FCS school. But we far outgained Ball St. in yardage and the game was closer than the score indicates. Then we lost on a last-second field goal @ North Texas in the conference opener on the road. I think...

...we split the home stand, following a bye week, vs. La Tech and Middle which puts us at 3-3, 1-2

...we win @Charlotte (they just haven't looked very good at all): 4-3, 2-2

...@USM: how good is UK? It's tough to travel to Monroe to play ULM. I'd say this is 60/40 with the location pushing it over the edge. 4-4, 2-3

...we beat Rice at home 5-4, 3-3

...lose on the road at UTSA, Baylor is not good and neither is Texas St. so the Roadrunners are a little of an unknown, but that's coming from a fan of a team that went 2 seasons without football 5-5, 3-4

...@Florida: MAXIMUM EFFORT!! aaand, no 5-6, 3-4

...close out at home against UTEP. Bad UTEP team. Home game to get bowl eligible and .500 record in conference? Yep. 6-6, 4-4.

UAB goes bowling and the feelgood story actually feels good. And Bill Clark is some kind of human being.

This conference is bad, really bad. We are average. So imo we beat FIU, FAU, Charlotte, ODU, and WKU by more than 7. Cincy, MTSU, and So miss by less than 7. And prob lose to UTSA since we are so bad in Texas and they are actually good.

My guess is 5-7. If our special teams weren't so rough, I'd say 7-5

I know you are proud of your D, but they better pack a lunch if they are planning on holding the conference's top offense (top passer & top rusher) to 17 points. Sorry, not buying that. You guys better get ready for a shoot out.

Will not be a shootout. Our defense will be disruptive the entire game. I think our defense will cause a lot of 3rd and longs.

You have not seen enough of the North Texas offense.Your defense is good, but you have no chance at stopping our running game without committing extra men. When you do that Mason Fine will pick apart your secondary. There is a reason North Texas has over 2000 yards of total offense and 19 touchdowns in just 4 games. Too bad this one won't be on TV.

I was really counting on FIU as a win.

Since we didn't get it, I need to flip the ODU game to a win to keep my season prediction intact.

I know you are proud of your D, but they better pack a lunch if they are planning on holding the conference's top offense (top passer & top rusher) to 17 points. Sorry, not buying that. You guys better get ready for a shoot out.

Didn't you guys just struggle to beat upstart UAB yesterday? Honestly, I'm not trying to be mean, but...... come on. How can you barely beat UAB yesterday, and turn around and be telling folks to pack a lunch cause ya'lls offense is so tough?

Also, if I throw out your absurd FCS game against Lamar, UNT has only averaged 27 points a game. And that includes the OT game yesterday. Again, not trying to be calloused, but UNT hasn't exactly played against murderers row so far.

Yes there is. It's called a WEAK SCHEDULE! You've beaten FCS Lamar, and a UAB team playing only their 4th game in the last 3 years.

Not to mention they were down like 50-14 to SMU before the conference's "best" offense scored some points in garbage time.

They haven't played the #6 ranked defense either. Not to mention we won't turn the ball over 5 or 6 times (I hope) like last year. AND our QB can actually complete a pass. So we will enjoy our lunch but you'll have to eat your lunch all by yourself.

I highly doubt any team from our conference will be ranked at all.
