Its stupid as heck. Whether Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders had won the election...the same national anthem would play. Its a slap to anyone who has ever served our country...and I hope advertisers, and people start boycotting the NFL primadonnas again.

So much wrong with your comment.

This wasn’t about the President. This was originally a peaceful, subtle protest about how African-Americans were getting unfairly treated by police and authority in America. This type of response that is ignorant to both why it was done, and the principles our great country was founded on is the reason you have the President of the USA focusing on this instead of an international crisis with North Korea and a current humanitarian crisis in America.

Standing for the National Anthem at a sporting event is not a high five to anyone who served or paid taxes. It’s part of the show.

I gotta give y'all credit.

Both of these statements are dumb and contradict themselves.

You think the truth is dumb, so be it.

You laid out these humanitarian arguments and then followed it up with "it's all part of the show".

Well, if "it's all part of the show", then shouldn't it be a given that the "show" appeases the audience?

Can't be both.

And other dude says not to tune in but knows who kneeled, sat, stood, or took a nap during the Anthem.

Can't be both.

If you measure your commitment to this country by two and a half minutes before a football game, then your priorities are screwed.

If you think that my explanation of what the protest was about contradicts my commentary with the ridiculousness of the weight given to that anthem before games, so be it. Doesn’t contradict it at all.

I was recently at a baseball game with a lady friend. Hot girl next door type; friend zoned Latty; sucks... but that’s neither here nor there. When the anthem was played and I stood, she sat. She did it as a sign of solidary with the BLM movement and in support of Kaepernick. I agree with the movement and I think the blacklisting of Kaepernick is stupid; but I don’t agree with that protest.

On Sunday, I was at another baseball game. I sat during the anthem. I told my lady friend. She didn’t understand; “why would you sit now?” I told her, it wasn’t my way, but today, i’ma be a SOB too.

Just saying.

You just did it again.

It wasn't about the President Rump but you are gonna be an SOB too.

Look, if Kaep would have been good enough, he would still be in the league.

He wasn't.

He may be better than a few in the league but he's out.

He didn't have the connection with teammates or their respect.

He had a good season or two.

Here's my thing, if you protest the anthem, then you protest the dollar.

Take a knee at the bank.

Or go along with the show.

Because like you said, it's all part of the show.

However, I am all about opposing pretty much everything Trump, not republican or conservative but Trump.

So, by all means, sit, kneel, or take a nap, Truck Fump.

Kaepernick is good enough still to get feelers from teams. He took a team to the super bowl and he’s under 30. He didn’t have a transgression to deny him an opportunity. As far as the consequences; he’s good enough that he can help a team win and they aren’t going to lose sponsors and paying customers. But what if CK is denied to to collusion?

As far as the petty President... he made me show my support for BLM in a way I wouldn’t have had he not gave his few too cents.

He had 2 good seasons, the defenses figured him out, he stopped taking things so seriously and then he went 3-16 as a starter. He might be better than some 2nd stringers in the league but then they have to weigh if his controversies are less than his quality and sadly for him, they are not. Why take a below average QB with a lot of controvery over a below average QB with no controversy? He was also very close to being given a contract by Baltimore until his idiot GF went on twitter and started calling the owner a slave owner. Why would anyone in their right minds put up with that for a crappy 2nd string QB?

Because he’s better than their crappier 2nd string QB.

Cat is out of the bag and they only make it worse by denying him. Will they blacklist every other player who does this?

What CK did was sacrifice himself to bring attention to an issue too often ignored. When it is judgement day, who will be looked at more favorably; the man who’d sacrifice his job to say American needs to fix one of its issues, or those calling him a SOB who’s disrespecting America because nothing’s wrong?

No, they will not blacklist good players nor will they blacklist cheap, not so good players.

Kaep sucked and was overpaid.

That was his biggest problem.

The other was just foolishness.

That dude grew up in an affluent household with all the privilege you could want.

Has no idea who or what is happening in the streets.

Wore a Fidel Castro shirt in protest.

Come the eff on.

Now you are just trolling.

Let Jameis Winston take a knee and see if they can him.

He is the dude that raped a girl and stole some crab legs.

They love that thieving ass rapist.

I'd like to see him replace the rapist in Pittsburgh in a year or two.

Hell, I bet Big Ben wishes he could bend his knees enough to kneel.

Stiff legged mummy looking chugger

Speaking of slave owning Baltimore, they have a damn statue of Ray Lewis who went on a killing spree.

You are missing the point. He might be better, but not so much better that he is worth the extra baggage.

Think about it from a perspective. You have an employee that is good at his job, maybe better than some of your other employees. But he doesn't come in on Mondays ever. He comes in 2 hours late Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Then leaves 4 hours early on Friday, if he bothers to show up at all. He might be a somewhat better employee than your others, but all the drama he brings to the table makes it so he is not better than the others. I would rather have the decent employee that comes to work every single day on time, no matter what, and does his job, than a guy who is a good worker but does nothing but cause problems.
