RE: Other games 9-23-2017
Tech shutting out Coogs early in second, 6-0. By this time in the game last week, they had 24 points on us. Not good.
Can we outscore F I U in a shootout?

Georgia Tech up on Pitt 14-7 early in the 2nd quarter in Atlanta.
Pitt had a nice first drive but hasn't done anything since. Defense looks porous.

Georgia Tech beats Pitt 35-17 even after committing 4 turnovers.
Pitt is not a good team. But they'll probably find a way to beat us by 40.

Aggies beat Hogs in 1 OT, 50-43.
Kind of reminded me of an old WAC game. Lots of offense, not much defense ... until the last play INT.

I have been assuming that you realize that no one has any problem with clapping. Generally, most coaches clap. The problem is that Bailiff seems to do nothing else. Other coaches do more, much more. There is more to the job than simply clapping, a significant amount more. My granddaughter can clap. Should she be paid a million dollars a year for that rather simple, pedestrian skill.
Your campaign, as I understand it, has been to get us to acknowledge that getting rid of Bailiff is not a panacea. We will not be national champs the day after he departs. No one has challenged that position.
The path to obtain more modest goals will be long and arduous. But it has been very apparent to many for five or six years that we will not achieve those goals without new leadership and that each day we travel in the wrong directions increases the chances that we never will attain our more modest goals.

Cal tied with USC 13-13 more than halfway thru the third quarter. Given USC's handily besting Stanford, I think it again underscores that this year's Stanford team is not with a par of more recent teams.

For something nobody has any problem with, it sure gets mentioned a lot.
As for the rest of your post, that would have been more to the point 5 or so years ago. I am fine with firing Bailiff. He's had a longer than needed chance. I'm not in your way. I am not your problem. I don't even get a vote. I just see no reason to pick on every little thing he does, from clapping his hands to patting a player on the back. Fire him, and let's get on to the next chapter. But let's not waste time on dissing him over clapping his hands or any other minor thing. How picky and puerile can we get?
TCU now leads OkSt 34-17.

LSU leading Syracuse, which I believe lost to MTSU, 7-3 in second quarter. LSU looks very lethargic. If this continues, I think LSU will be in the market for another new coach. Ogeron seems over his head.

Not for long, but at least they are showing a pulse.
42-31 OU with about 10 minutes to play.

I told an LSU fan co-worker that I think Ogeron is Bailiff plus (or perhaps Ogeron is Bailiff lite?).
