Lee Corso, Rece Davis and Kirk Herbstreit said a little bit ago on college game day that UCF's Scott Frost would be the next HC at Nebraska. They didn't mention that he is currently HC at UCF and they even made jokes about him bringing back the triple option. I know it's a no brainer to everyone, but he's going to have to have a 9-3 year at UCF to be the logical choice for Nebraska IMHO.

Makes sense for them to hire alberts as AD and frost for coach. Might need warren Buffett to cover the buyouts of riley and still paying Bo off + they most likely fire their hoops coach.

He has a .500 record as a HC right now.

Did they want him last time? Before they hired Riley? I feel like they did but I may be mixing them up with someone else. Something along the lines of to young/not enough experience.

I hope they give him more than 3 years. NIU is a bad loss but it shouldn't be anything close to fireable.

I hope they do too, but with Nebraska firing Eichorst, I think Mike Riley is on borrowed time.

mike riley did nothing at Oregon State compared to Bill Snyder

and 3 more years get real they fired a guy that won at least 9 games all 7 years he was there

he had a losing conference record at Oregon State and was only 13 games over .500 in 14 seasons

he was a terrible desperation hire

Searching a lot of the Nebraska message boards. They seem really split. Half feel that he is too new to the coaching scene and they want a more established and polished coach. They want Bob Stoops to sudenly come out of a self imposed retirement, chip kelly, or les miles. They also are impressed with Jeff brohm, but poaching from the same conference may not be possible.

Apparently Purdue pays Brohm more than Nebraska pays Riley.

Something tells me that is a non issue. If Nebraska wants to pay, they will. They can afford it and Bo comes off the books soon.

Stoops would be a real coup, but I watched that OU\OSU game, up in Columbus. Stoops was there with his wife and daughter. He had the look of a trapped animal. LOL. He had the look of a man that was told if he didn't retire, the wife would start sleeping with his brothers. I kept waiting for the international hand signal for distress..*
