I think its well known that ancient man did not yet understand many things today modern man does. Just as he did not yet understand any of Gods plan concerning Israel, Jesus and the Gentiles Church age.
We also know the bible was not simply written by men, its the inspired Word of GOd and proves its case by predicting thousands of years worth of future event before they even came to pass.
Modern Israel is a perfect example, the bible predicted it would be totally destroyed after the Messiah came and was crucified and the land was left desolate for many centuries until the Jews returned to the land in the final days, reforming a nation with the Jews still rejecting Christ as their Messiah. No, it was not a "self fulfilling" proepchy because it was the UN and Gentile nations that set up Modern Israel following WW2. Just as the bible predicted.
No nation on earth has ever been totally destroyed, then returned as a nation, much less after 1000 years, much less after nearly 2000. Only one...ISRAEL
Just as written in the bible 2500 years ago. No other religion or book on earth predicts the future in a way that illustrates its devine origin other than one....The Word of God.
