KUDOs to the ticket officce and we are spoiled
I just got off the phone with the NIU ticket office and ordered 6 football tickets for homecoming. They were very friendly and helpful and emailed me the tickets which I have already printed.

Six tickets on the 45 yard line for the price of one ticket to tOSU (my spousal unit's alma matter).

We will be driving up from Columbus, Ohio and meeting my daughter and granddaughters who will be driving down from Madison, Wisconsin. We will meet in the YARD and the 6 year old and 2.5 year old will have a blast playing in the bouncy houses, meeting Victor E and Mission etc.

There have been some complaints about the ticket office and Sean Frazier in the past but NIU does a lot of things right and I believe offers a very nice game day experience. In some ways I prefer it to the game day experience at BIG Ten venues. More relaxed, more affordable, very talented athletes on the field some of whom will play on Sundays etc.

The MAC alums need to wake up and begin filling their stadiums. MAC football is a tremendous value!

I had Andy in the ticket office help me out for the EIU game. I needed to leave some tickets at Will Call for some friends and he was very helpful. Totally went out of his way to accommodate me and my group. I'm always bummed to see the small crowds at Huskie Stadium. Such an affordable experience and great product.

well said, bike chuck. I agree. I've never understood people who complain about the MAC. It is a very underrated football conference, and as we know, there are plenty of talented players on most rosters, many of whom make it to the NFL. and while the NIU gameday experience isn't elite, it is certainly fun and family-friendly.

Go Huskies! Hope to see all of you at homecoming.

Yea we are spoiled. I too get a little bummed by small crowds at Huskie stadium. Parking is very reasonable, tickets are reasonable although if it's $42 that's a bit much I think. There are no bad seats. Concessions aren't too great, but you aren't paying Soldier Field prices for them either. When the game is over I don't have to wait an hour to get out of the parking lot.

And last but not least there's been a lot of exciting football played at Huskie stadium.

NIU does offer good value for football games as stated correctly. Improvements could be made with police officers in neighboring towns and parking officers in DeKalb on game day. Ideally DeKalb county should open up to ,'outsiders' on Game Day and ease up on traffic fines , parking fines and stopping fans.

I love our NIU gameday Saturdays. Tailgating in the Convo lot is good & not too far of a walk to the stadium. Huskie Stadium feels like home. Comfortable & familiar.

Plus, with only 2 Saturday games, it has become a rare experience.

I personally like the weekday games and the national TV exposure. I know I am in the minority, but I think it is great having the Huskies on at every bar in the country, albeit with smaller crowds..... I get it.

Hate the weeknight games as I can't get anyone to go with me. Probably 4X as many people with me if it's a Saturday game. If not more.

There is no way I am driving to DeKalb from Columbus, Ohio to freeze my ass off at a weekday night game in the late fall. I will make the drive for a Saturday game in DeKalb or Chicago and have done so on many occasions.

I am in the minority of people (on this board) who loves a Saturday afternoon game in September at Soldier Field. My spousal unit and I have attended all of them. It gives us a nice excuse for a mini vacation that we both enjoy. Sox Park (whatever they are calling it these days) is a poor alternative.

I do not attend weeknight games - period. If we have 2 or fewer Saturday games next year, I will give up my season tickets that I have held for many years. It is not feasible for me to attend a midweek night game where I drive 90 miles one way. It just won't happen. Plus, I am not stupid to sit in a frigid stadium at night with temps in the 20s or 30s. If they are happy with people cancelling their season tickets and dwindling attendance, then so am I.
