One's a Miami Dolphin, the other's a UAB Blazer. I like it.

I'm glad to see JJ get the recognition and he was the difference maker, but honestly 5 catches even big ones is pretty weak sauce in the NFL

24 yards a catch in an NFL game is a great average. JJ Nelson is number 15 in average per catch, but if you remove the 3 TE and 2 RB, JJ comes in at number 10.

On a side note* 2 TE are leading the league in per yard catches with Gerald Everett 4 catches averaging 33 yards a game for the LAR.. by comparison JJ was target 12 times catching 10....with 2 TD...making him one of 6 WR with 2 TD on the season, NOT BAD for a SKINNY KID out of MIDFIELD HS and UAB.
I am hoping for another former UAB player as an all pro selection.

I dont think that is weak for a WR3. It would be weak for a 1 or 2. Pretty much the max target for a WR in the NFL is 150/yr. The average for the first 2 on a team is 125 - less than 10 targets a game. So getting targeted 6-7 times and making 5 catches is great for a #3.

Of course, JJ is the leading received for the Cards by receptions and yards - so he is no longer really a 3, but a 2 (behind Fitzgerald). Good things can continue for JJ if he can get 8-9 targets a game instead.

Through week two only 14 players are averaging 6 catches or more per game.

5 doesn't sound so weak when taking that into consideration.
