There is plenty of room to house them at the GSU Stadium. Bonus - don't need to leave because of game-time crowds.

My understanding is that there is a significant portion of those who are "online" students. Not as much as Troy, but not negligible either.

According to Wiki:
21,976 (system-wide)

14,074 Jonesboro campus (Fall 2016)

System-wide means ASU-Newport, ASU-Mountain Home, West Memphis, and Beebe probably.

What is confusing is online and Mexico campus. University vs JUCOs and such.

This link really doesn't clearly state whether online students of Arkansas State University are part of the 14,125, but it does imply Mexico campus enrollment is.

Old news. They have been placing overflow in apartments and hotels for quite a few years.

Yeah, but you're of the Johnny-come-latelys. Lots of schools have come and gone since this league was founded. Hard to keep up anymore. South has been around since inception.
So, how long does it take for you to figure this out since it's been 5 years now? That would be longer than GS, App and CCU and comparable to TXST since we were a "package deal." 05-stirthepot

Both schools have been jockeying for the same numbers for a few decades. Until very, very recently, TXST and UNT had a slim lead.

That has been the question for a while now. A minor increase in student fee could bring in a couple mil. Guarantee and CFP could bring in a couple mil more. Can't imagine game day revenue wouldn't bring in another mil or two. That right there puts us in line with other SBC schools.

From what I understand, its the playing venue that's the concern. Estimates are pegged at $60 mil or more to make Maverick Stadium FBS worthy, even though it once was. A lot has changed since 1980-81. It'd be a solid FCS stadium like it was from 1982-85.

Well we have beaten you in most sports recently. At 17 sports to our 14, we have finished within two points of USA for the trophy twice.

RE: 2017 enrollment numbers
The interesting thing about AState numbers (to me at least) is that there was a small dip in freshman enrollment, the increase was a result of better student retention. The new funding formula the state has adopted rewards student retention more than loading up on freshmen who don't become sophomores.

Likely because the vast majority of UTA students are commuters who don't take part in any sort of traditional student life or activities, combined with the other entertainment options available in the Arlington area. At UNT, we have a decent number of commuters as well, but we have far less than UTA and we're also a bit segregated from the rest of the DFW area. I think that is the difference between schools like UNT and Texas State, vs UTA.

You get to over 30K you are officially one of the big dogs. GS is about to pass well over 100 schools in total enrollment with the addition of the Savannah campus, probably in the top 100 public if not low 100's.

Is the savannah campus actually going to be considered the same as the main campus? Or just part of a Georgia Southern University System?
