Since I was asked today how the Russian investigation was going I thought I would read what was out there. Came across this. Good read. Don't expect charges to be brought up this calendar year.

Good article. (I rarely say that about Politico...) Manafort and Flynn are in trouble... Obstruction against Trump is a toss-up... Mueller probably is not going the sort of special counsel to engage in overeach... so if he goes for obstruction.. Trump is in deep doo-doo. The Russian criminal conspiracy stuff will be a hard get... if I had to guess.

I tend to agree and hope you right...but Mueller had to have known this before agreeing to become special counsel.

Where was the obstruction?The only obstruction assertion I'm familiar with is the firing of Comey. Since he was well within his rights to do that how can it be considered obstruction? At his will and pleasure means for any reason or none at all if I'm not mistaken.

I think his own words are his undoing there. He stated. This Russia thing was bs. So I fired Comey. Something very very close to that. That he was so angry to Sessions to that a special prosecutor was appointed. The motives are there. This would have been more than enough to impeach him before the alt right media. A snow ball has a better chance in hell than a GOP controlled house bringing up impeachment charges. If Hillary C did the exact same things that have come to light under Trump she would have been impeached by now.

"The Russia thing...." Could very well have been President Trump voicing his frustration that Comey would not publicly state that He was NOT under investigation.
I think it was Sen Rubio who pointed out that Presindent Trump NOT being investigated was the only information not leaked in this sham. The motive for obstruction is NOT there nor is the evidence. The more we find out about Comey, the more evidence there is that he should have been fired by Obama.

Wow. Trump is most definitely being investigated. I don't want to go straight to delusion. Where in the world do you get that he is not being investigated?
