Second best ESPNU game so far this year; double what any of the three Friday night ESPNU games got last year. Basically ESPN2 numbers on ESPNU.
Yes, ESPN talked up the Lane Kiffin clown show, but SOME of the credit should go to the good guys in that drama.

About like every other time slot (5), ESPN (OK St vs Pitt), ESPN2 (UConn vs UVA), ESPNU (KU vs Ohio), FS1 (NIU vs NE), CSSN (?) - interesting enough, the Memphis-UCLA game drew more viewers than all of those other 5 together.

Impressive! ABC I believe? OTA still rules cable and now cable is getting unplugged. Perhaps we'll see a resurgence from the big 3 again?

That's right fox Sports 2. A lot of people discovered FS2 that day(for FS1/2 standards). I know its the first game I have watched on that channel. Maybe have seen 15 other games over the past 4 years of FS1.

Yep, UCLA used all of their downs and all of their time outs. All we had to do was take a couple of knees.

I expect AAC ratings to jump much much more this coming weekend and even more when conference games kick to higher gear.

These games should be scheduled throughout the conference - and won. Just like UH beating OU last year early. It got UH noticed but also the conference. I read very positive articles in the LA Times, the Oregonian, SI, San Francisco Chronicle & USA Today about the Memphis win - national coverage for a national game about this Memphis win. And it really boosts the AAC in addition to the Memphis FB program. And the TV draw should get us all more $$ in the next TV contract.

This comparison only makes if you compare time slot and channel. A league that is regularly on ABC in the 8p time slot will pull a significantly larger audience than a league that is regularly put on ESPNU in a 1030p slot.

We have had people look at that breakdown for Houston specifically in the past and found out that Houston pulled a very high audience for the channel and time slot that was easily comparable or better than other teams in P6 conferences.
