Some good Vad Lee news
Since we need some good news tonight, The Breeze is reporting that Vad Lee has signed with an Arena team.

Good for Vad. Gives me a reason to watch AFL now. Thanks for posting this.

It's actually the National Arena League. I wondered why I hadn't heard of it and that's because it was just formed this year. I also learned it's Columbus, GA, not Columbus, OH.

I don't know why more players like Vad don't go towards the CFL. it's worked out well for a lot of guys.

He did play in the cfl very briefly. I believe he was cut.

This is correct, I don't think he saw much time on the field either unfortunately.

He may not have been fully healthy in the CFL. Hopefully he shines wheee he is now and turns some heads. On a related note- has anyone heard rumors on Khalid, Reynolds, Rashard or Earl Watford recently ? With all the injuries early in the season in the NFL hopefully these guys get another look this year.

Or Marlow, or Kirsch, or Hart? Sucks that 10 former Dukes were in NFL camps, and only 3? (Moats, Brown, Wells) on active rosters.

Earl worked out for the Saints last week but did not come away with any type of contract offer.

MarlowE got an injury settlement which I feel like is a killer for his career. I don't see another team picking him up onto their IR and would guess the Panthers would have used an IR spot if they thought he had future value. Really sucks as he seemed to have moved into a #2 spot in early camp. Hopefully he has a full recovery and gets another shot after the season.

I think the Panthers did everything they could to keep Dean on the roster but his unfortunate luck with injuries was leading to a risky pattern.

It was just a matter of time before our improvements in performance are outpacing our bodies' ability to cope with the increased stresses on our ligaments and tendons. I think the day will come when athletes start undergoing procedures to artificially strengthen attachments between muscle/bone, bone/bone, etc.
