HeroSports ranks the Lady Owls #36, number one in the conference. North Texas is ranked #88 and our next opponent , Louisana Tech, is ranked #170. Not sure if I believe our ranking but pretty owesome.

Is this a record high for the program?

RE: Women Soccer
#7 in the South Region Coaches Poll.
http://unitedsoccercoaches.org/web/Ranki...women.aspx

There are five regional polls.

In the South Region, Texas is #2 and Baylor is #4. Rice lost to Texas 2-1 in the first game of the season and tied Baylor 0-0 just before Harvey hit. North Texas is #9, La Tech is #13, and FAU is #15.

All the teams from a conference seem to be in the same regional poll. Hence, Texas A&M is in the Southeast Regional Poll rather than the South Region.

RE: Women Soccer
That is great news but are we deserving after beating La Tech who ranked in the 100s. I hope we can. Is this the highest the soccer program has ever been ranked ? Quite a remarkable turn around after two so so years.

Rice is up to forth place in the South Regional coaches poll (Charlotte is 9th, North Texas is 12th, and FAU is 15th) and is in the list of "Others receiving votes" in the national poll.

1-0 over WKU at the half. Looked pretty close at the start, but WKU seemed to tire more later in the half.

Rice up 2-0 with about 10 min remaining. Rice dominating in shots in the second half.

WKU is #151 in that ranking.

Congrats to the Lady Owls for winning the matches in which you're favored ... and more. :-)
