RE: NIU/Nebraska Highlights
Huskies could have won by two TD's, we left a lot out there and also feel the Huskies were playing better once the 4th quarter came around. We had a couple mistakes here and there and Huskers captilzed, but forsure NIU was the better team on both sides of the ball, and special teams as well. So thankful Huskies beat Nebraska, for many of us older Huskies this was unfinished business. So proud of our team, and that feels great!!!! Enjoy this victory everyone.

RE: NIU/Nebraska Highlights
Three plays of note:

-Nebraska's offensive tackle ends up flat on his back as Drequan Brown blows past him to cause the Johnson interception.

-Check out the clean pocket our line gives Santa on his long throw to Blake. And what a perfect throw that was.

-The final TD by Huff was a party in the end zone. Our O-line moved their D-line into the end zone like they were on skates.

The throw by Santa was coming right at the NIU section. We saw it all the way. It was amazing how perfectly thrown that was. If he stands there and tries that throw 100 times again, I'm not sure he does it anybody that one. Perfect.

I was afraid Blake got hurt on that play. I was worried about concussion , looked like he planted his head in the ground. Really happy for Blake to shine on the big stage. I have never been a huge fan of his but boy did he come up huge Saturday. That catch to set up the Huff TD..... oh how heartbreaking that would have been if Huskers recover that

Also so relieved how healthy they came out of that game !

Allen should have recovered the muffed punt. He wanted to run with it instead of falling on it.

Kirk Herbstreit has NIU tied with SDSU and Mississippi State at # 2 for top performances; not the norm for Kirk to give kudos to NIU!

Man..... Winning a big game before your bye week is a beautiful thing. Extended celebration, right before the next big game. We haven't been in this situation in a long time.

RE: NIU/Nebraska Highlights
After watching the game again I'm even more impressed by the defense. We were fortunate with a couple drops by the WRs, but generally there was very good coverage and they were all flying all over the field making tackles.

Also watched a post-game presser by Mike Riley. Don't think he ever gave any credit to NIU for anything, unless I briefly dozed off while listening to him droning on about everything.

I'll give Riley a pass on that, when you have the cornmonsters and the corn boogiemen out for your head in mob fashion, the last thing you probably want to do is give credit to the MAC school that beat you at home as opposed to being critical of yourself.
