Khaliq Spicer is going to play in Belgium next season, in Belgium's top league:

Hubo Limburg United (Euromillions League) added to their roster 23-year old American center Khaliq Spicer (206-104kg-94, college: Kent State, agency: Court Side). He played last season at Tajfun in Slovenian Liga Nova KBM. In 30 games he recorded 10.3ppg, 7.9rpg (#3 in the league) and 1.7bpg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Slovenian League Honorable Mention.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Spicer's team made it to the MAC Tournament Semifinals in 2013. He was also voted All-MAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2016 at his college time.
Spicer graduated from Kent State in 2016 and it is his second season as a professional player.

What can be more cool than a trip to Monaco?

Well, playing basketball for AS Monaco in the European Basketball Champions league, like Chris Evans is, and scoring 13.8 ppg; their main league is the French Pro-A. You'd recognize some of his teammates - DJ Cooper (4.3 ppg), Aaron Craft, Dru Joyce.

Remember Devin Carter, who couldn't get on the floor during one season at Kent State - he transferred to Arkansas State and after sitting otu a transfer year had 17.3 ppg in 2015-2016 and 16.4 ppg in 2016-2017. He's now on the Iowa Wolves in the NBA D-League, or rather G-League as it's called now. He's only played 2 minutes though.

Derek Jackson has moved to the Helsinki Seaguls in Finland's Korisliiga - the top league in Finland. He's leading his team with 3.9 assists

Helsinki Seagulls (Korisliiga) added to their roster 26-year old American point guard Derek Jackson (185-77kg-91, college: Kent State, agency: Mansfield and Associates). He has played for the last two seasons at Redwell Gunners Oberwart in Austrian A Bundesliga. In 41 games he recorded 14.6ppg, 3.8rpg, 5.0apg and 2.6spg last season. Jackson helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. They also played in the Supercup final. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Austrian ABL Defensive Player of the Year and voted to 1st Team and voted to All-Imports Team. Jackson also played 10 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he averaged 12.4ppg, 2.1rpg, 4.7apg (top 5) and 2.6spg (leader !!!).

Carlton Guyton is playing with UCC Assigeco Piacenxa in Italy's Serie A2, leading his team with 18.6 ppg and shooting 48.8% for 3-pointers

"UCC Assigeco Piacenza (Serie A2) tabbed 27-year old American guard Carlton Guyton (193-89kg-90, college: Kent State, agency: HMS). He played most recently at Basketball Loewen Braunschweig in German BBL league. In 25 games he averaged 11.2ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.3apg last season. He can count that year as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Honorable Mention.
The previous (15-16) season Guyton played at Oettinger Rockets Gotha (ProA) in German league where in 35 games he had 13.6ppg, 3.2rpg and 3.5apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very impressive season as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-German 2.Bundesliga Pro A Honorable Mention.
In 2012 Guyton was drafted by Erie BayHawks (D-League) in seventh round (108th overall).
He attended Kent State and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements Guyton's team won MAC East Division Regular Season in 2011. He received also All-MAC Sixth Man of the Year award back in 2011 at his college time.
Guyton has played also professionally in Sweden (White Eagles) and NBA G League (Erie Bay Hawks).
Let's have closer look into His outlook: Carlton 'Scootie' is very athletic player, can play on playmaker and small guard positions. Great scorer and assistant. Strong in duel with superb ball control. Excellent in transitions and fastbreaks. Makes clever desicions on ball transfers, needs a little space to create nice moves. Valuable player!."

Checking in on Israel -

Jimmy Hall is playing for the Hapoel Migdal Haemek team, in the second-level Israel National league. He's second in the league in scoring at 21.7 ppg and 3rd in the league in rebounds with 12.1 rpg. Too bad his team finished 14th out of 14 in the standings

RE: Former KSU Basketball players in the Pros
Chris Evans, 13.7 ppg, 4.1 rpg for AS Monaco in the French Pro A League. He was Player of the Week for the week ending April 20th

"American Swingman Christopher Evans (203-F/G-91) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Monaco, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 29.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (25 points, four rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Strasbourg (#3, 19-10) with 19-point margin 90-71. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Monaco to consolidate first place in the French ProA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Monaco has a very solid 22-7 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Evans had a remarkable 90.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Monaco's top player in his first season with the team. Christopher Evans averages this season 13.6ppg. "

RE: Former KSU Basketball players in the Pros
Deon Edwin, playing in the top league in Finland, for the KTP Basket Kotka team is averaging 15.3 ppg and 2.2 apg and 6.1 rpg. He also had a 'Player of the Week' award earlier this season...

"U.S. Virgin Islands Guard Deon Edwin (190-G-92, agency: Interperformances) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for KTP Basket, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 33.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (38 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Helsinki Seagulls (#2, 19-12) 106-95. KTP Basket maintains the 8th position in Finnish Korisliiga. KTP Basket is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 13-17 record. In the team's last game Edwin had a remarkable 73.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be KTP Basket's top player in his first season with the team. Deon Edwin averages this season 14.5ppg and 5.9rpg"

RE: Former KSU Basketball players in the Pros
And while looking at Edwin's Player of the Week honor, I saw Chris Ortiz there a couple of weeks later, in the same league...

"Puerto Rican-American Christopher Ortiz (203-F-93, agency: Inception Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Lapua and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 43.
The 24-year old forward had a double-double of 40 points and ten rebounds, while his team beat KTP Basket (#8, 17-21) [playing against Edwin, I wonder if that inspired him] in overtime 119-113. Lapua maintains the 11th position in Finnish Korisliiga. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Lapua have already lost 31 games and recorded just seven victories. In the team's last game Ortiz had a remarkable 69.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Lapua's top player in his first season with the team. Christopher Ortiz averages this season 17.1ppg and 6.9rpg. "

He's on the same team as Ohio's Nick Kellogg

Someone has to make the sacrifice and live on the French Riviera. Way to tough it out, Chris!
