Wagner Special Teams Coach
Wagner special teams coach considers leave of absence after viewing game film of Darius Phillips...So what do you do in this guys position?

They're better off going for it on every 4th down than kicking to Phillips.

Hell, they're better off trying onside kicks than actual kickoffs.

kickoff out of bounds is relatively easy .. weird question, if by chance the kickoff goes out at the 45, can WMU take it there our is it automatically at the 35. But punting out of bounds is harder unless they line drive it, as Phillips is able to get under the high kicks and the high kick angling out of bounds, as we saw last night, can end up with a very short distance. That punt that netted 10 yards was a critical play

Kickoff and coach your players to cover. Have some balls and play football. Honestly, getting cute with players like DP is usually a mistake. Need to emphasize discipline with your players, and make sure they do what they need to do. DP, and other great returners, take advantage of mistakes.

Return team can choose the 35 or where the kick went out of bounds.
