Our opponent in two weeks, Pitt, is down 21-0 to OklaSt with 3:33 left in the first quarter.

Their defense simply cannot stop OSU. Looks like our defense the last few years against any of a number of opponents.

Pitt stinks. With OSU this week and Georgia Tech next week, they'll be pretty beat up on D coming into our game.

Would love to see us play well against them.

RE: Other games 9-16
I'd like to see it. Seeing some okay pressure from Pitt's front, but not so good coverage if the pressure doesn't get there.

Pitt is not the same team as last year. We'll see if Rice can do anything to take advantage of it.

Kansas continues to struggle - down 18-0 to Ohio. Frank Solich has done some nice things with that program (4 conference division titles, only 2 losing seasons in 12 completed so far, none since 2008). Wish I could say Bailiff had done something similar. That's what I'd consider a successful G5 program, even if you're not getting into the top 25. It's one that continues to win within the constraints it has.

Longhorns V USC..... is there any way each team can be dealt a loss here? This is the NCAAF version of cage match between OJ Simpson and Scott Peterson for me.

I haven't been watching Pitt, just checking in now and then, but it seems to me they have talent, just cannot overcome the penalties and mistakes. let's hope they are as undisciplined and unprepared when they play us.

The way Michigan has played its first 3 games this year, it shouldn't be a top 25 team (much less the top 10 it currently is). Barely leading Air Force 16-13 early in the third.

After trailing ULL at the half 21-14 thanks to 2 TOs leading to TDs for ULL, the Aggies have put up 31 unanswered points in the 2nd half with about 5 minutes to play. 7 TOs s far, 5 for the Rajun Cajuns and 2 for the Aggies.

A ranked Pac-12 team travels 2 time zones east to an 11 am local kickoff in a hot, humid climate and gets upset by a G5 opponent. Memphis does to UCLA what Rice was not willing to try to do to Stanford.

In the second quarter Army drives 99 yards on a ridiculously long TD drive against Ohio State.
14-7. Ohio State. 6 minutes left in Q2.
Army looks better this year than last.

OSU's offense has issues. Big issues.

What Rice could not have done to Stanford.

The talent deficit of Memphis versus UCLA is only a small fraction of the difference between Rice and Stanford. Not to mention the scheme and execution differences.

Colorado St lost in Tuscaloosa by 18 points. Alabama's no houston, of course, but I wonder how we would have fared there tonight? I'm sure Bailiff would have had us confident and well-prepared - we might have kept it within 100.

Hurricane. It apparently caused travel issues for FIU.
