Bump.

I am very pleased it was a success concerning attendance.

I also hope I am wrong about my other expressed concerns.

If I am right about any of them, I promise I will not go on a messageboard and highlight the posters who have scores of time excoriated me - often rudely and personally. I do not seek vindication. Indeed, I will be as dejected as any other Tiger fan.

You conveniently forgot to mention that I bought tickets and gave them away because I wanted to do my part to help boost attendance. I wanted a successful turnout.

Thanks '83, but you should have stopped after your 2nd sentence.

And by all means feel free to highlight me when I am wrong. We are discussing the NC punishment in NTR, and I was wrong in predicting that they would get hammered. It's an anonymous message board, and I have a pretty thick skin.

Point that I hoped you would get is that maybe, just maybe, you and others are being unnecessarily, reflexively, and obviously irritatingly repetitively (hard to correctly end 5 of 6 words in an "ly") negative towards Tubby.

He's had one season. He wasn't my first choice either (Kevin Keatts was). But how about giving him another season before the relentless criticism?

(And nobody cares that you keep mentioning you buy tickets. Almost all of us buy tickets.)

No thanks, I am not into shaming posters.

I do not think Tubby’s job performance is perfect and I think a messageboard dedicated to discussion of Tiger athletics is an appropriate place to discuss aspects of his performance issues to date.

I mentioned the ticket buying to dispel the repulsive notion that I want Tubby to fail. When Tubby flourishes, so does the program.

Ok, '83. You seemed to have totally missed the point, but that is your right. And I do believe you want the program to succeed, but you 100% have an unhealthy obsession with Tubby.

For someone who is relentlessly negative, you seem to have a very low shame bar. Odd.

And my guess is you have mentioned the ticket buying at least 25 times. Pretty sure everyone on the board knows you live in Nashville yet still buy 4 tickets. Do you need constant praise for this?

How did you do this? I didn't think they put these for sale online. Asking for a friend.

o for pete's sake. <rolls eyes?> You just called this person unhealthy and insinuated he should be ashamed. Why do that? We had a great Memphis Madness. We are waiting for a commitment.

Most of the reason anyone gives a concrete example of his/her dedication to Tiger athletics is so people know he/she is a big fan of the program but concerned about its direction.

People here have leveled extremely personal attacks at him and others here--just saying.

Attendance was better than I expected. Still, I made the right decision not going. The Cubs-Nats game was more entertaining than any Midnight Madness I've ever been to.

Once again Snow jumping in to aid, unsuccessfully, a fellow anti-Tubby poster. So predictable.

Snow, '83 brought up shame, not me. 2nd time in two days you have attributed something to me that your fellow anti-Tubby poster said. And yes, '83 has an unhealthy obsession with Tubby. Many have commented on this.

Btw, have you admitted your mistake re Memphis Madness? As one of the anti-Tubby fellow travelers, you had to jump in and say "It's just puzzling on many levels. Please don't let there be any recruits there we are trying to impress."

Will you admit you were wrong? Or just continue with the anti-Tubby tirades?

lol. I have no problem with my saying, ' Please don't let there be any recruits there we are trying to impress.' I would say it again.

And what you call my anti tubby tirades is like just.... your opinion, man.

As for the more emotional posts around here that have some punch to them, they are the variety/spice of this board. How else could folks like you have fun?

If it's Stepford posters you want, you'd need to start your own board. Proboards are free and you can moderate any way you please there.

So, the answer is 'no'. Anyone who gets his rocks off by hearing people admit they are wrong, is behaving like a sicko. I do not facilitate that kind of behavior except by accident.

I am utterly perplexed with the intense continued interest (obsession) by some posters with my posts.

There are three options for for you and the others uncomfortable with my posts questioning aspects of Tubby’s job performance because I will not join in singing hosannas for Tubby: 1. Continue current practice, 2. Modify posting behavior, or 3. ignore the posts and/or posters. I know which option I will usually adopt, henceforth.

'83, if you don't want people to read and respond to your posts, then why do you post?

In any case, I'm tired of arguing with you today. Have a nice weekend.
