ESPN is doubling down on their liberal agenda as a new report from Fox Sports’ Clay Travis revealed that longtime SportsCenter host Linda Cohn was suspended by the network for criticizing the network of being too political.

Sources told Travis on Tuesday night that ESPN president Jon Skipper told Cohn to not come into work and to think about what she said.

Ya'll... I don't mean to rain on the parade here a bit... but there's a difference in the target/direction of the comments. Hill's (she really sucks though and should be fired for sucking at her job) were directed at a target outside of her employer. Cohn's comments were directed AT her employer. Anytime you openly criticize your employer (though I completely agree with her)... they're not gonna take it well and have the grounds to dismiss you.

Yes, but there have been some complaining about them not being political enough, wanting to push them further left.

The further these generations get from being actual victims of real racism, the more they will perpetuate the idea that they are victims. They're taught as children that they have always been victims, are victims, and always will be victims. It's hard to see truth when you've been brainwashed as such.

The chains of victim reasoning need to be broken as the chains of slavery were, and as the chains of real civil rights were. Until that happens, there's no way of each side understanding the other. One side comes to the table with a perceived handicap they don't want to let go of, and the other side comes to the table with the inability to provide anything that will satisfy.

Interesting...you seem to be saying that since slavery is a thing of the past that racism doesn't exist? Or that she could have no way experienced any in her lifetime recently?

Is that what you're implying?

ESPN, while it wil never go totally away, is on the verge of falling on seriously tough times. I have a cousin who works there and most of the everyday workers, like him, are very, very concerned.
He says the left leaning slant is the talk (quiet talk of course for fear of being fired) of the company among most of the back room staffers.

I think he is implying that she (and you) need to look up and learn the difference between racism and prejudice. A white supremacist, or racist, believes that one race is inherently superior to the others due to genetics. The woman probably has experienced some prejudice. I bet you have too.

Thanks, I didn't think there was any way this could be construed that I don't believe there is racism/prejudice.

To further clarify, yes... there are currently racists out there of every color. Yes, there are prejudice acts that occur by perpetrators of every color. Yes, I'm sure she has experience some of that in her lifetime, as all of us probably have. However, the over use of labeling someone a racist/supremacist, etc without clear, real evidence is absurd. Not perceived evidence... clear evidence.

It's over used is all I'm saying.

...and her show sucks donkey balls (that's my perception/opinion).

Everyone is prejudiced. Not necessarily based on race, but nobody can tell me they don't look at someone they don't know and get an impression of what you think they are like. If you were at a bar sitting next to Mike "the situation", would you ask him his thoughts on the theory of relativity or would you point out the chick on the other side of the bar with her cleavage hanging out? That is prejudiced as well. Just because I walk the other way if I see someone coming that looks like Allen Iverson doesn't make me racist. I would not do the same if he looked like Steve Urcle... just like my reaction would not be the same with the situation vs say Alex Trebec.

Sorry but this wasn't her first time.

Hill Was Suspended in 2008 for Writing That Rooting for the Celtics Would Be Like ‘Saying Hitler Was a Victim’....suspended for a week

In January 2016, ESPN issued a memo to employees to avoid making political comments.

After the Pulse nightclub shootings in Orlando in June 2016, when a man killed 49 people inside a gay nightclub, Hill wrote, “So in a country where we have done everything possible to undermine the LGBTQ community, we are suddenly lecturing Islam on homophobia. Oh.”

Quote:An ESPN spokesperson said Hill's tweet doesn't violate the company's edict, despite its political overtones. That's hypocritical in comparison to how the network handled Curt Schilling's anti-transgender rant on Facebook

Nothing going to happen to a black female on a liberal agenda driven network. Just do what most people do these days, watch the live stuff and that's all. Place has been a cess pool since Oberman.

Boom, well that was their argument, she deserved a second chance like Schilling. So she had 3 chances, what is the justification now fellers?
