Did You Know… Before being named the Tigers in 1914, the team was referred to as the Blue and Gray Warriors of West Tennessee Normal School. Team names have since become more creative.

Did You Know… Memphis’ school colors of blue and gray were selected in the early 1900s to show unity as America recovered from the Civil War.

I did not know that. Very cool facts!

Wow, why did I just learn that from a writer on the left coast instead of learning about it from our own journalists?

Because they aren't covering stories that are decades old to the people of Memphis?

The blue and gray reasoning has been published in virtually every game day program I've ever bought at the Liberty Bowl. Maybe they stopped publishing that little factoid?

So who is listed as starter as TB this week. Dorceus was nicked up on pregame warm ups against UL-M. That is why he did not start or play much in the game. He was listed as starter so he had to have done something in camp to win that job.

So it's their fault you don't know what every new Freshman learns on the first day of orientation?

Honestly I don't remember hearing this at Freshman Orientation. I remember going because I met my ex-wife there, just don't recall hearing any historical facts about MEMPHIS STATE. Maybe I was too busy skirt chasing instead of paying attention 02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana

So glad we have 3 starting quality RB's ... You can mix and match depending on the situation, using a different philosophy with the offense depending on the personnel on the field as well as the field position ... I think we'll go right up to prior to the first offensive play to determine what skill players other than Ferguson hit the field for the first snap ...

Well GMan, finding your future wife gets you a pass.

But seriously, this is boilerplate stuff. I'm sure Joe Bruin went to the home page of our web site and found this info in about two minutes.
