Danica Patrick is the last crossover star racing has created in America, isn't she?

Terri O'Connell is a racing cross over driver.

Started out as J T Hayes, a Go Kart racer from Corinth. Moved on to sprint cars in West Memphis and then NASCAR Cup series with Junie Dunleavey.

Disappeared for a while and when seen again was racing as Terri O'Connell.

She isn't cross over if the general public hasn't heard of her.

I'm talking about someone who becomes a star to non-racing fans.

You aren't a non-racing fan.

20/20 did a story on him/her a number of years back. Came to Memphis to record part of the segment at Riverside.

So the female, Terri, started racing as a guy, J T Hayes?

Terri O'Connell?

Not my cup of tea.

We do have a former lady driver who currently works in the U of M athletic department.

I see, play on words. My apologies for misunderstanding.

Best gender reassignment job ever.
