That's it? That's all you got?

There was a time when only land owners could vote. That was changed to all citizens.

What would happen if we let everyone who lives in the country? Would that change anything?

You're sick.

Well there you have it. No argument whatsoever to make against letting everyone who lives in this country vote?

The bottom line is that they're not citizens of this nation. There isn't a vested interest there. It's also constitutional that only citizens can vote.

They don't have a vested interest in this country? I thought we had 20 million who have lived here an have had children here? If you come to this country to have an "anchor baby" are you not vested in the future of this country?

What on earth do you mean "that's all you got?" Did it ever occur to you that other people may have already considered those other angles and rejected them because they are transparently terrible?

My argument is simple, clear, and without nuance: If you are not an American citizen, you do not get to vote in American elections of any type.

Why is that outrageous to you?

They are not citizens. They are criminals. They do not have, nor should they have, the right to vote.

Fit,

One of the reasons you restrict it to citizens is because it makes it harder for foreign elements to meddle in US politics. I thought the left was all hot and bothered by foreign governments screwing with elections. Now all they would have to to get 2,000 people into New Hampshire to swing a state, fewer to grab some congressional seats.

What's the point in being a citizen?

I was expecting you to say stuff about how it would adversely effect elections or non citizens are not vested in the best interest of the country etc etc.

I understand the law and do not wish to change it. That isn't what I was asking.

No, they don't. They're taking advantage of this country. Do I need to define "vesting" for you?
