I remember last season seeing one of our replacement punters having a weird release, although I don't remember specifically what it was like. It was a terrible punt and it looked like other kickers gave him a refresher on dropping the ball on the sidelines. If he was trying to kick it like the guy in that article, I apologize for doubting him. The result was still bad, but I respect trying different methods, especially when you're trying to replace a star.

I read the same article and had the same thought. I constantly ridiculed Hiott last season for his hold but it looks like its a "thing".
