They had better be fully charged so they can get one use out of them. Not a whole lot of power in the country outside of the cities.

Kim Jong Un would still view that as an act of war and retaliate against Japan and South Korea killing thousands and thousands. The only solution that I can think of is a coup within the North Korean government and Un is assassinated along with any of his followers.

My point is while most of us assume electricity is available to everyone, that is not the case in North Korea. Without electricity, the iphones won't work long. As illustrated in the image in the link.

North Korea is the huge black hole in the middle of the image. Basically one large city and a few smaller cities appear in the image. The rest of the county is very dark.
