you can thank teams like LaTech and WKU for 2 of the 18 spots. These early rankings have a high margin of error. They are mostly based on early expectations, then as 5+ games are played, start to have substance.

You're welcome, always glad to help!

A loss is a loss, unfortunately.

Some unfortunate circumstances turned the tide, which is understandable. But overall the performance against the ACC's apparent number 1 or 2 team, they showed some positives. CUSA may have their hands full with the HERD this year if they continue to get better. Although a home loss this week to Kent St. should begin to sharpen the etch-a-sketch, and transform my opinion.

NC State?
Yes

Sorry man, but:

FSU, Clemson, Louisville > NCST

Easily. Maybe Miami & VT too. We'll see, it's still early.

pre-season scuttlebutt had them there. Reality as usual differs. One ESPN talking head pre-season said if he had to pick the 4 playoff teams that day....and he included NC State as one of them. But seeing them play us and SC no way in hell was that guy not on crack.

Jumped: Florida(-13), Arkansas(-15), stAte(-7), aTm(-15), WKU(-32) , BYU(no change), Wyoming(-9), Pitt(-6), Kentucky(-8), Northwestern(-35), Ohio(-31), and La Tech(-42) based on their losses.

Also jumped: Tulsa, TTU, UCF, Texas, ODU, WVU, and Colorado State based on less impressive wins.

Got it, I guess it does make some sense. I figured that we would have jumped over a few team that lost, I didn't expect to be that many.....

Thanks
