CUSA is awful. Look at the scores of the teams in our conference. We're getting blown out (for the most part) by bad teams across the board. Teams are struggling against FCS schools, teams that were predicted to be at the top of our league.

Let's be honest. After this weekend, it looks like UTSA is our competition in the West and we get them at home. Tech has looked awful for two weeks, we know Rice isn't any good and they beat UTEP. UNT doesn't seems that great either.

No excuses. We have the talent to win CUSA this year, despite the apathy and relative lack of interest around our program. 9-0 in CUSA should be the expectation. No excuses. Our defense can stop these terrible teams and our offense should be able to score enough to win. The West should be ours and it shouldn't come down to Thanksgiving to decide that. And we should host the CUSA title game. Period.

Agreed, however UTSA is a road game.

I don't disagree that the conference is weak overall, however please consider UTSA beat Baylor and MTSU beat Syracuse.

2 P5 wins in one night matches the total from 2016 and 2015. Exceeds 2014.

However, LaTech got housed by State....in Ruston no less.

I don't necessarily disagree but we did lose to the bottom dweller of the SEC...at home no less.

Yet to see how bottom-dweller they are. Remember that Missouri is still in the SEC.

We spotted them a half of football. Hard to win when you do that. I think our upside is really high if, and it's a big if, Griggs stays healthy. If he gets injured it is on Hopson at that point to play the right number two. That is a question I pray doesn't have to be answered.

La Tech seems to start slow under Holtz every year and improve as the season goes. However, they did lose a lot off last year's team.
