ECU is a complete dumpster fire right now. Their football is down; they just extended their terrible basketball coach's contract, their baseball is down; their Olympic sports are terrible and they announced they will be slashing their AD budget going forward.

You're right and this was always the danger in admitting programs like ECU to this conference. The only way we keep our profile respectable on a national level is to have programs that are all in and committed to athletic excellence. ECU has essentially come into this conference, scooped up a bigger pay day and then put everything on budget mode. It just creates a giant vacuum for everyone else. It sucks for the conference and it sucks for ECU's fans.

Didn't Huggins have a meltdown when ECU was invited into Conference USA? As I recall, he knew they would be a drag on UC's basketball RPI. Some things never change.
