Mid Tenn lost to Vandy, no one knows anything about them, but beat Syracuse, which no one knows about either, so I'm not sure about them either.
WKU struggled with EKU and lost to an ok Illinois team, I see them about 5 or 6.
Marshall beat a Miami team that I think is gonna go 8-4 and loss to a ok NC State team.
La Tech looks bad.
USM loss to a bad SEC team but did what they were suppose to this week.

The rest look bad.
I say:

USM
Marshall
MT
WKU
UTSA
La Tech

Then the bad bad teams.

It might be debatable that we're "bad", though I don't see any evidence to say that we're any worse than "OK" but we're certainly not "bad bad".

Just forgot them. I had them second.

forgot about his 2nd highest rated team in the conference. and yall wonder why USM fans make fun of this conference.

Nah. Don't worry about UTSA.

Watch out for La Tech and Rice.

UTEP is going to get better too.

North Texas is a potential juggernaut.

But we all know Southern Miss is going to win the west.

Everyone please ignore UTSA.

Thanks!
Not convinced yet. Liberty looked a bit better against a poor Baylor team. Only thing concerns me about UTSA is obvious pick plays allowed to be run right in front of incompetent CUSA referees.

Looked better offensively perhaps, yes. But Baylor got about 3 starters back on their defense for us, who were injured for Liberty. If not for the muffed punt which set Baylor up in our red zone, Baylor likely doesn't even score a single touchdown against us.

And without intending to sound like a homer, I think we were in the more difficult situation, given Baylor's surprise loss to Liberty in week one. Shocking a P5 in a home opener is one thing, but someone else coming in and making them lose a 2nd straight game at home to open their season is a bit more tricky, especially after they get some injured starters back, have had a chance to make some adjustments, and the other team hasn't even played yet.

Yeah, UTSA had last week's game film to go by, while Baylor had nothing of ours from last week. But Baylor has new coach, giving UTSA one game to look at, unless we go back to Temple game films, which won't necessarily be on par with what he's doing at Baylor. Baylor had all of last season to look at for us, since we have the same staff and most of our starters haven't changed either.

So with all due respect, if the only thing about UTSA that concerns you is alleged pick plays, remind me again of what our score was when we met last year. Look, I've said to others that we shouldn't get too excited over this win right now because it's one game, and there are still unanswered questions. But if you have no concerns aside from officials, you're either naive or just have a penchant for reckless statements.

oh yeah, i forgot how we got cheated out of that game last year with those plays and no-calls. either way, UTSA prob has a pretty good team this year.

Baylor is down but some of you are seriously downplaying UTSA's dominance yesterday. We have a methodical, pro style offense so you'll rarely see high scoring blowouts but UTSA was far and away the better team. Those stats are lopsided as hell even with conservative offensive playcalling and a bend but don't break defense once it was a two score game.

Solomon had one completion in the first half and went 10 of 26 for 121 yards for the game. Liberty outscored them, UTSA punished them. Underrate the UTSA defense at your own risk.

Despite their issues, they somehow managed to land the 40th ranked recruiting class (5th in Big 12) last year btw. They won't be winning Big 12 titles any time soon but you would think they were full of scrubs the way they're being described.

Reckless statements. Ha. You forget we know Frank Wilson. He coached here. And at Ole Miss for several years. Always was known as the bag man.
The two pick plays I refer to were in our game against y'all last year in which you won. Go back and look. Very poorly disguised and in press coverage. But executed nonetheless right in front of the knucklehead CUSA refs. Two went for long TDs and another was inside the red zone. Good for y'all and shame on our coaches for not raising hell about it.

Why do you always have to blame someone else for losing? If it's not those dirty SEC officials. It's the knucklehead CUSA refs. Miss calls are part of sports but they go both ways. 90% of the time what fans see as missed calls...

are just excuses because you got your ass beat.

Hell sometimes a team is just better than your team on that day. What would S. Miss winning % be if not for Dirty, knucklehead refs? Let me guess 30% better and 20 more conference championships and a 90% winning percentage against the SEC.

Middle...I watched most of this game on our drive up to Champagne Ill and it was ugly. Told my son if Middle got in a flow they would win.

UTSA ....did not see this game but I predicted the win in my pick-um so wasn't surprised. Baylor is down and if not for last weeks loss to a FCS team. I move UTSA into the top spot

Marshall...based on first half yesterdays game

Rice....conference road win even over UTEP deserves this ranking

S. Miss...did what was expected over a FCS team

Western...based on a good defensive effort against a weak P5

ODU...when a win almost feels like a loss, this is probably one of those times. Opinion just based on score and who was played

UAB.....did not watch but kept up with the score during the game.

FAU....closer than I expected

Tech....losing at home to a P5 and by that score. Score might not reflect the game or it might. I did not see it

UNT....losing badly to a AAC team

Charlotte...wasn't expected to be in this game. They weren't

FIU...hate putting you here with having to move your game. But results and play matters

MT is kinda infamous for beating a Silverspoon Conference team (or good team in general) and then turning around and losing to FIU or similar. The year we beat Ga Tech in Atlanta we lost at home to McSneeze State to open the season.

MT is like a box of chocolates............
