Mid Tenn lost to Vandy, no one knows anything about them, but beat Syracuse, which no one knows about either, so I'm not sure about them either.
WKU struggled with EKU and lost to an ok Illinois team, I see them about 5 or 6.
Marshall beat a Miami team that I think is gonna go 8-4 and loss to a ok NC State team.
La Tech looks bad.
USM loss to a bad SEC team but did what they were suppose to this week.

The rest look bad.
I say:

USM
Marshall
MT
WKU
UTSA
La Tech

Then the bad bad teams.

It might be debatable that we're "bad", though I don't see any evidence to say that we're any worse than "OK" but we're certainly not "bad bad".

Still too early for a Power Ranking. Pounding on FCS programs doesn't say much about how good our programs are. And wins and losses to other FBS programs is very hard to gauge. We have no way to measure the quality of many opponents at this point. I'll wait until we are starting conference play before I comment. We need to see more football.

and then just fyi... we lost to a bad kentucky team bc our coach made an idiotic decision to start an incompetent QB and let him play an entire half. when he put the right QB in we almost came back and won (he had 220 yards and 2tds in a half). we held kentucky to 250 yards and we had around 360. had "Coach" started Griggs like everyone thought he was and everyone knew he SHOULD have, we would have beat the hell out of kentucky.

so yeah, id say Usm and UTSA are the class of the league right now. MTSU may have a pretty good team too. La Tech and west kentucky likely wont pose a threat to win the CUSA title this year. id like Marshall to be good, but im not convinced they are all that good this year, yet.

no need to mention any other team in the league. well, wait....Old Dominion. they should win a lot of games this year id imagine.

Nah. Don't worry about UTSA.

Watch out for La Tech and Rice.

UTEP is going to get better too.

North Texas is a potential juggernaut.

But we all know Southern Miss is going to win the west.

Everyone please ignore UTSA.

Thanks!

RE: Week 2 CUSA Power Rankings
There is about ten teams that can win this league right now. Our inexperience on the offensive line will probably coast us in the end.

RE: Week 2 CUSA Power Rankings
My ranking is weekly and does not combine other wins or losses for CUSA teams from the week before

Middle...I watched most of this game on our drive up to Champagne Ill and it was ugly. Told my son if Middle got in a flow they would win.

UTSA ....did not see this game but I predicted the win in my pick-um so wasn't surprised. Baylor is down and if not for last weeks loss to a FCS team. I move UTSA into the top spot

Marshall...based on first half yesterdays game

Rice....conference road win even over UTEP deserves this ranking

S. Miss...did what was expected over a FCS team

Western...based on a good defensive effort against a weak P5

ODU...when a win almost feels like a loss, this is probably one of those times. Opinion just based on score and who was played

UAB.....did not watch but kept up with the score during the game.

FAU....closer than I expected

Tech....losing at home to a P5 and by that score. Score might not reflect the game or it might. I did not see it

UNT....losing badly to a AAC team

Charlotte...wasn't expected to be in this game. They weren't

FIU...hate putting you here with having to move your game. But results and play matters

Just forgot them. I had them second.

Not convinced yet. Liberty looked a bit better against a poor Baylor team. Only thing concerns me about UTSA is obvious pick plays allowed to be run right in front of incompetent CUSA referees.

RE: Week 2 CUSA Power Rankings
Simply too hard to rank teams right now in comparison with one another. UAB can be bottom 3 in the league or top 4 or 5 by the end of the season. I mean it could go anywhere. Basically played against themselves yesterday with the absurd amount of penalties and turnovers and just weird stuff that happened. That game may be an anomaly with how it turned out
