Yes its really early but the biggest surprise to me was ESPN projecting Coastal in the Cure Bowl

I think Louisiana Tech is a shoe in for the New Orleans bowl with ULL/South/ULM/or Troy

I like Coastal's chances to make a bowl game this year! If New Mexico st or Idaho does not make it i think the Sunbelt will send Coastal across the county to the Arizona Bowl.

I'm not. If Coastal gets to 6 wins, and they have a legit chance, I think they end up getting into a bowl based on waiver priority. We're not going to hit 80 bowl eligible teams this year.

Right now I have South out of a bowl. I was not impressed with the OK State game, and given the recent struggles in SBC play, I'm just not sure I can suddenly put them down for winning at least 4, maybe 5 league games.

Georgia Southern in a bowl right now makes no sense. Eagles would need to go on an AState esque run, and they don't have a favorable league schedule by any stretch of the imagination.

Based entirely on my csnbbs message board experience, I would love to see ULM play LT in a bowl game and watch ULM beat the snot out of them.

There are "only" 78 teams who can go bowling this year. The number of bowl games dropped from 40 to 39 with the cancellation of the Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego.

They're not great but I think still better than enough teams on their schedule to get to 6 wins.

Didn't think they would need a waiver after the rules were clarified. 6-6 transitional teams are considered in priority before 5-7 teams are.

Or does everyone have to file a waiver as a matter of formality in that process?

You're probably right. I would love to see us get them in the New Orleans Bowl. Even though we may only end up 5-6, we have a shot at a bowl because of our high APR.
