But regarding the stats, someone who knows more about this than I do might be able to answer this. That loss of yardage can't be given to a player, can it?. It's not like I was the running back and went backwards some 90 yards.

FWIW---I looked at the box score on the NCAA site and they assigned the -87 yard "rush" to the "team" rather than a given player.

And I should have thought to look there myself.
