Ok, I've got it. Madizone didn't provide free snacks. The Madizone concession stands suck!
Whether you care to admit it or not, the past three years of bombarding the way Madizone has worked with complaints since abandoning Neulion, made this happen. The first season with Stretch I went straight to Curt, Mike Carpenter, and Jeff Bourne.
Mike went so far as to tell me his boss, Geoff Polglase, was expressing his displeasure with the way it was working for him. We kept the pressure up because it was practically worthless for our use. JMU was wasting resources by even having this service available. Curt was very frustrated knowing that so many more folk could be reached if they could only get someone to take ownership of the problems.
It was like JMU went out and bought a brand new bus for the teams to travel, but the coaches wouldn't let their players board it for fear of a brake failure. Yet the bus would still go to the games but arrive empty and go back to Harrisonburg empty. Game after game, season after season, this new bus kept pulling out of the JMU parking lot empty. We had bought the bus, so we better dang well better be sending it to the games.
Finally, someone went to the coaches and asked why they were not using the new state of the art bus for team travel. Someone of power finally "got it" and had the brake system completely gone over and adjusted, repaired, and certified that the system is proven reliable. The coaches slowly have started using it but some are more difficult to convince it is safe than others. Eventually they will forget there was ever a problem.
