Not only do yall only put up 75, but we scored 14. Now we probably gonna keep our coach. Slackers. Did I ask for too much; no. Lol. Good luck defending the title.

You are a good dude. Please don't come away from our competing on the gridiron with the opinion we are a bunch of snotty asshats. Personally, your deal with us makes about as much sense as if we were to do a deal with Alabama. I'm all for playing "up" a notch otherwise you never get better, but at this stage of where our Dukes are vs. where the Spartans are, I'm not convinced either team learned much about themselves today. I do know there will be a few Dukes who will have a tough week of practice.

Ha ha. Wish we had more opposing fans visiting this board like you.

Our 1st team offense has given up more points than our 1st team defense thru the first 3 games so far. 04-jawdrop

(and our special teams is only 3 pts behind as well)

As long as we have to play down in Norfolk, I hope it's a huge crowd and great, game day atmosphere- band included. Love to see that place filled to capacity.

It was done during shortly after EW's first season. during the '14-'15 academic year.

It appears to me that we will only have five home games next season. Away at NC State and Norfolk State. Not sure who the other OOC game will be against, but I will be pleasantly surprised if it's anyone not a MEAC, Pioneer, or Big South team. Not that we should be going down to Norfolk for a return game, but at least it would have made some sense had the return game been scheduled for 2019 when we can play 12 games. It is shaping up for our home schedule to be one cupcake game and four conference games. W&M will be one, the other three will consists of Elon, either Albany or Stony Brook (we'll most likely play one of the two at home and the other away), we'll most likely play Towson at BFS, and either UD or URI (my guess is UD).

That's correct that next season will feature only five home games. Two road OOC games and one at home. Then the usual four caa home games.

By the way, the game wasn't blacked out on Madizone. Watched it on my home WiFi, then later on the AT&T cell network.

Regarding my post above, it looks like I made it five conference games rather than four. Therefore, I believe our home schedule will consist of:

Cupcake OOC
W&M
Elon
Towson
Albany or SBU

There is a possibility of JB pleading to NSU to allow our return trip be played in 2019, but I wouldn't count on it.

How late can we back out? Does NSU want the tix revenue in exchange for getting beat 60-14 at home next year that bad? I feel like we recently (within the last threes) backed out of an OOC away game. Perhaps someone can refresh my memory.

I'm praying MRDs travel to NSU next year. Would make that game SO MUCH fun with the Legion already there. Two best bands in VA for their respective styles. Just wondering if it will be 9/8 or 9/15...

I had conversation with EW about this very subject. He said all contracts come with a very heavy penalty that a team must pay should they need out. The subject came up because we were talking about Liberty and dropping a game with them in order to play SMU. He told me there is a gentleman's agreement that a team can get out of paying that penalty by finding a suitable opponent to replace the game with.

I think we did this for St. Francis a few years ago. It was stated that we had a 3 for 1 deal with St. Francis, but we got out of going there by finding them a suitable opponent. I don't know what ever came of our deal with Liberty, whether we have paid them off, whether we helped find them a suitable opponent, but I thought we got them to agree to a future date being in 2019. However, there has been no mention by LU or by us to ever play them again.

I know that our second game with UNC they wanted to change the date so they could play Louisville (this was prior to Louisville being in the ACC), but we couldn't make another date work and the contract stated they would have to pay us $600K if they wanted out. Needless to say, the game was played as scheduled. The Louisville newspaper had already reported that they had a signed deal with UNC, but their game never happened.

As far as CAA you forgot about UD.

I think it will be
HOME:
-W&M
-Elon
-UD
-Albany or SBU

AWAY:
-RU
-VU
-TU
-Albany or SBU

MISS (Same as 2014-2015)
-Maine
-UNH
-URI
