Jackson Dillion
One day, as Job's sons and daughters were eating and drinking in the oldest brother's house, a messenger came to Job and said, "The oxen were plowing and the asses were grazing near them when Sabeans suddenly attacked and seized them; the servants were put to the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you."

While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, "Lightning has fallen from heaven and has completely burned up the sheep and the servants, and I alone have escaped to tell you."

While this man was still speaking, another messenger came and said, "The Chaldeans, attacking in three bands, raided the camels and drove them away; the servants were put to the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you."

While this one was still speaking, another messenger came and said, "Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking in their oldest brother's house when a great wind came from across the wilderness, struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men and killed them. I alone have escaped to tell you."

Then Job rose, tore his robe, shaved his head, threw himself on the ground and worshiped, saying:

"Jehovah gave, Jehovah has taken away;
Blessed be the name of Jehovah!"

The moral of the story is no matter how dark life gets there is always reason to look forward and not dwell on the bad.

Dillion made great strides overcoming his previous set backs instead of allowing himself to go down the drain in self pity, he was able to fight back and over come them. There is no reason why anyone with his determination cannot over come this last set back.

DO HOPE THAT HE REALIZES THAT TIGERNATION IS BEHIND HIM DURING HIS LATEST SETBACK.

I am glad to see Dillon is moving in a good direction. That was one horrible stroke of luck. May he get through it fast and be stronger than ever.

What about the first ten kids? And the first wife? I mean he got 10 new ones and presumably a new wife too. I just always wondered if he missed any of them.

Of course he did :). The Lord blessed him with another family. I am sure he thought of his fallen family every day.

My bad...It was rhetorical question. I just remembered asking it when I was 6.

Sounds Greek to me.

No Hebrew or Arabic word for Palestine either.

Thanks to Greek merchants Philistines became Palestine.

Actually, it is a mistranslation or completely made up.

It's kinda like calling someone whose name is Fred - Armando.

This is a very accurate article especially the part that states Jehovah is a Catholic invention.

"Interestingly, this fact is admitted in much Jehovah's Witness literature, such as their Aid to Bible Understanding (p. 885). This is surprising because Jehovah's Witnesses loathe the Catholic Church and have done everything in their power to strip their church of traces of Catholicism. Despite this, their group's very name contains a Catholic "invention," the name "Jehovah."
