I remember in 2009 when this kid's story first broke when he was 12 and just about to lose his sight. To see him now is awesome. It is just one of life's good stories. Kudos to all involved.

Come on. This video and the story was plastered over every sports show all weekend. Great story, and had the OP started a thread to discuss a neglected angle on it, fine. But all he did was announce it like it was breaking news.

I never said or implied it was breaking news. Not an exclamation mark in sight. I figured many of the people here had seen it. Since it was not mentioned here, I thought I would throw it out there for those that had not. It is, as you say, a great story.

I find it curious that you would open the thread TWICE to make TWO "snarky comments" about a story you saw "on every sports show all weekend."
