The audacity to teach creationism and call it anything other than religious studies is staggering indeed.

Liberty will be fine on their own. CUSA doesn't need LU, and LU doesn't need CUSA. Plus, as it has been said multiple times, this conference does not need any more bodies.

I guess it's good to have them and TxSt and UMass on deck at all times in case 3-5 get poached.

I forgot i see no problem in their religious stance. Afterall the original name of this league was intended to be 11 Gentiles and Tulane.

Science is not a liberal conspiracy.

This isn't the bible where you can pick and choose, like condemning homosexuals, but eating shrimp, or wearing mixed fibers, et al.

It's amazing how people are so desperate for the scientific information when a massive hurricaine is bearing down on them, but quick to dismiss anything they simply don't want to agree on.

Creationism is the opposite of science and young earth creationism is a middle finger to science.

Wanna make America great again? Stop allowing universities to be accreddited while teaching this nonsense.

You evidently misunderstood the message behind my comments. By all means, teach science, biology, literature, math, history, engineering, etc. in colleges and universities. The professors should leave their personal liberal political agendas out of the classroom, much less forcing them down the students throats as they often do.

Glad to see you agree that people should not be "quick to dismiss anything that they simply don't want to agree on", especially when it involves suppressing free speech. Ultra liberal universities such as but not limited to Harvard and UCSB frequently do exactly that, but only when it involves a conservative speaker.

Wanna make America great again? Stop allowing universities to be accredited if they are suppressing free speech when it isn't in line with their liberal agenda.

Just an FYI, LU doesn't require Creation Studies anymore. If you are in a Theology type program then its required.

I don't know what Liberty teaches and I really don't care, but the Bible says God created the heavens and the earth and that it took 6 days to finish everything. So what it comes down to is how long a "day" was when there was no time yet. How do we know what a day was when the Sun, earth, moon, had just been created and there was no one here to record time? Imo and maybe I'm wrong but I feel like each day was at least thousands of years if not longer. It even says in the Bible that one day in heaven is a like thousand years.

Just a thought early this Saturday morning. Hope everyone has a great Saturday and is safe away from this storm. I'll be praying for everyone down there.

Are you a little obsessed with Liberty MTPiK?

That's all I could capture with a single screenshot. I would love to have been a fly on the wall when you saw the Liberty - Baylor final. 03-lmfao

I personally wouldn't mind expanding to 16 teams. Instead of each getting four peanuts we get three and a half. It wouldn't make that much of a difference splitting the money two extra ways. I think each team would get $90,000 less per year. If that difference in money is going to bankrupt your program then there are deeper issues.

Are you for adding more anchors in basketball because that's what we're talking about. If Wichita State was rebuffed by AAC and came to us or VCU decides they want FBS football then we'd open the doors wide. But Liberty? No.

So instead of being the 23rd rated conference we will be 24th. At the end of the season still a one bid league.

I know you Flames have a tenuous relationship with science, how's your math?

You wanna tell me what percentage those posts are of ~13,700 posts over ten years?

As for my reaction to the Liberty vs Baylor game, I'm not sure what kind of reaction you're imagining, but I was actually pretty amused.

Funny how far Baylor has fallen, funnier still that you think that it was a substantive win, or that I would be upset by you guys winning a game.

I honestly don't think about Liberty except for when you bozos show up over here.

Or whenever I hear science deniers, I think "Wonder if they matriculated in Lynchburg..."

Seriously man, kick rocks.

I am glad you were there at the beginning of time to rule out how it all started. Whew.

I teach my kids both creation and evolution. So does the school that I pay for them to attend.

Your post really encourages me that I am doing to the right thing...you have no idea...so my hat is off to you to give me motive.

I wish nothing but success for Liberty.

First and foremost, we have 13 public schools and our lone private is not religiously affiliated.

Further, Jerry Falwell's brand of Christianity is not the church I was raised in, whichfor southern Baptists, was a pretty open minded and welcoming congregation.

Lastly, I take great offense to creationism and young earth being taught as science.

We have enough people in this country willfully denying science as it is, without an accredited university teachimg it's students that the earth is 2,000 years old and calling it science.

**** Liberty.

Where did i say creationism is wrong? It's simply not science and shouldn't be taught as such.

By the way, my post was not to imply that I wanted Liberty in CUSA...I just love to rail on "elite" universities. Johnson, Trump, Sanders. No riots, violence, etc.. Beautiful.
