This and flights out of Florida are booked solid with folks fleeing. Bad optics for a plane leaving out with a football team going to play a game while everyone is running for their lives....

So usf cant charter a private plane and evacuate the players and their families?

At this point is there anything left to charter? Hell I don't know. And I'd bet the good'ole NCAA would find something illegal about that and hammer USF (just kidding...sort of....)

Ya thats how it works when their is no hurricane coming. If thats the excuse that tells me they where not planning some way to get them out sooner due to the hurricane. Which is not a good sign at all.

Ncaa granted fsu the ability to charter the players families out. No reason usf shouldn't get the same treatment.

USF is going to charter planes just for families of football players - not for any other student's parents - just so a football game can be played? We're going to expend time and energy on that while a massive Cane is threatening the whole USF community? That's really a mind-boggling idea.

USF did the right thing in canceling the game. I support our administrators. 04-cheers

So please explain how they are handling it is any better than what im saying.

Why on earth would USF evacuate families to Connecticut? 01-wingedeagle

Because thats where the team is.... plus its 2,000 miles away.

But apparently usf thinks its better to send the kids back to Florida where they wont be able to get out. All the while claiming they where doing a good thing.

That's where the team is? Why on earth would a USF team be in Connecticut when there's a hurricane in Tampa?

This notion of prioritizing games is just mind-boggling.

Because there's not a hurricane in Connecticut?

... and there's not a hurricane in 5,000 other places as well. Sheesh. 07-coffee3

FSU is doing it why cant usf? Did they have no plan for what to do for a hurricane because it sure seems that way.

Whatever dude Houston canceled UTSA. Once again if you can't wrapped around your head that there are bigger issues for USF to deal with right now than playing a dumb football game then I really don't know what to tell you. As for comparing FSU with USF is like comparing a millionaire with someone on food stamps.
USF did the right thing there are way more important things in this world specially now than playing a football game

Im not even talking about the football game though im talking about usf getting its players out of the danger zone.

Its seems to me usf just canceled the game and then said audios to all the players without trying to help.

Or maybe so the people who are worried about the team can know they will be moved to a safe location. For a usf you don't seem real concerned.
