Brief mention of athletics on page 23. I would imagine that they'll have more opportunities to contribute feedback, ask questions to potential candidates, etc.

Even if you're only here for the sports conversation, this is a really good read to get an idea of everything going on at W&M. Speaks to the depth and breadth of the school's initiatives and successes.

I'm not exactly certain what we want, but I know that we do NOT want this:

Interesting that of all the honors and awards listed in this article, none of them are related to being President of the College.

All this hub hub is a diversion. Reliable sources have it that the next president is on the staff and the grandson of a former dean of students. You can bank on it!!

I hear James Comey is in need of a new job...

All kidding aside, I think he'd make an amazing president.

How does that prospective president jibe with the profile? If your sources are correct, I'd expect the profile to basically match their resume.

This is all you need to know, straight from page 2 (bold, underline, and italics mine):

Fundraising skills is listed first; the abiding commitment to student learning and scholarly discovery is listed last.

Fundraising ADs, fundraising president, fundraising fundraising fundraising.

My wife noted the irony that she was writing out our check to the Tribe Club at the exact moment that I first read this yesterday.

His last name begins with a L. It does match the profile. Is that like profiling?

Usually when there's a favorite candidate, the requirements will be tailored to their strengths/resume. That's what I was getting at.
