tickets can be used for any sporting event this year
Ya, trading a football ticket for basketball or baseball game ... that's a great value.
Go see Arkansas State for how to handle.
WTF is your problem, they were playing UM we are playing UNH. Step one gather facts Step 2 Sound informed.
Thanks to UAB and prayers for all affected.
What does who you are playing have anything to do with it? You sold tickets for an event that is not happening within the same state it was scheduled and you're not refunding tickets.

You might have people buying Ark State tickets just to have a guaranteed seat for the Miami game. That's not the case for UNH.

Dude people are being compensated. They can exchange their ticket for a different one to any GS sporting event from now until Spring of 18, including football. Us season ticket holders can do the same, and then give those extras to additional family members or friends for a different game.

How many of y'all planning on coming up???
Probably because every hotel in Georgia west of Dublin is booked up and there is literally nowhere to house teams and the associated travel parties.

And again, exchanging a football ticket for a basketball/baseball ticket does not hold the same value and many of those will go unexhchanged. It's a crappy situation all around, but refunds should be issued.
I'm done going around in circles with this. Good luck this weekend and stay safe.

Latest track update has Irma's eye over Statesboro on Monday at 2pm still packing 90 mph winds with Tropical storm force winds as early as Sunday night. A mandatory evacuation of the Georgia coast including all 500,000 residents of Chatham County has been ordered by the Governor with I16 reverse-flow being activated in Bulloch Co. Why the HELL are we worried about a few game tickets.

There's some models starting to pop up of a western shift.
It would put the eye on the western coast of Florida, but winds ripping all the way across the state and delivering 70-90 knot gusts as far north as Atlanta.
This might get really ugly.

I don't understand the no refund thing, but keep in mind that we sold a ton of season tickets to people who just planned to attend the Miami game. We had to offer a crazy value because one Miami ticket is not the same as watching our basketball team play another Sun Belt school.
I imagine Southern's theory is that most of the fans who bought tickets are loyal fans who are attending most events anyway, so it made more sense to follow that approach.

What part of we can also exchange it for another football game ticket if we want to did you not understand??? It doesn't have to be exchanged for a baseball or basketball game. They are simply giving the fan the option of what game or what type of game they want to exchange it for if they can't get to another football game.

RE: GS - New Hampshire game will be played in Birmingham
I'm confused, the hurricane isn't scheduled to arrive in Statesboro until Monday morning. They could have moved the kick-off to noon time and still would've had plenty of time for people to leave. Not to mention Statesboro is only to get 70 MPH winds. The real danger is in driving while it's pouring buckets, dark, and the wind (learned that last year with Matthew). At any rate, people would have more than enough time to get away from the coast if thats what they wished to do.

Mandatory evacuation by the Gov starting Saturday morning for anyone East of I-95. I-16 will be One way going West and Paulson Stadium is a staging point for Ga Power and other resources that will be vital to the safety and recovery of the area.

To recap....
Everything East of I-95 is under mandatory evacuation starting tomorrow.
All areas in yellow are being evacuated:
I-16 will be contraflow(all Westbound traffic) starting Saturday Morning.
Middle Ga is already getting clogged from I-75 N Traffic, I-16 will turn into a parking lot Saturday. If the game was still being played in Statesboro, I would not even attempt to travel.. and I only live 2 hours away from Statesboro.

My understanding is that the state is changing the lanes on I-16 outbound sometime on Saturday evening. They want people headed away from the coast this weekend, not towards it.

Well you're pretty far west of 95. I understand the staging point issue.

You missed the part where I-16 will be WEST BOUND ONLY. How would anyone not in the Boro get to the game. Anyone east of the Boro will have more important things to worry about than a football game. The only two realistic options were to cancel or move it. Since I am in ATL, I'm glad they moved it closer to me.
