Birmingham has a nice sized Alcorn State alumni base. Should be a decent turnout considering the circumstances.

Georgia Southern has also moved their home game to Birmingham. That game will be Saturday at 3. Parking and admission is also free to that game per UAB.

I hope Birmingham shows up and supports FIU! It would be great to preemptively have a donation area for victims of Irma, whether it hits the US or not (it's destroyed islands in the Caribbean).

I doubt many bham people will show up. Most people probably don't pay super close attention to stuff like this so wouldn't expect attendance to be great with a few days notice

FIU game is Friday night

It's a gameday for the Panthers but most of us are too busy with preparations. Still, GO F I U!

High school football is a pretty big draw (not Texas big) in the Birmingham metro area on Friday nights, so I'm not expecting a crowd. But with the hotels in B'ham full of Florida evacuees, maybe they will be drawn to a FL team playing a free game in town.
