ETSU presser 9/4/17
Interesting perspective from the coach about last game and the upcoming game.

He reviews the Limestone game. Of interest to me is how he thanked the students for making lots of noise forcing the other team to burn timeouts. I hope our students know when to make a ton of noise and then do so.

Hopefully the link takes you right to it, or at least close enough.

On a related note, during Houston's presser today he cited ETSU's defensive end who he said would start at JMU, every D1AA program and some D1A programs. Pretty high praise. I think he said "Number 45".

Houston had a lot of nice things to say about their coach. They have a history and apparently he gave him a chance early in his career.
Coach Houston also said the ETSU plays very physical football, which he said is to be expected of ETSU's coach.

Side note.... Limestone?!

Carl Torbush took over at UNCheat after Mack Brown left for Texas. The first in a series of poor hires there for head FB coach.

Look for the beat down to be reigned a bit. Would imagine he's known Mike O'Cain (their OC) for some time as well. Can't see us getting in the 80s unless we have a slew of things like fumble returns for TDs, pick 6s, punt return TDs and 2nd/3rd stringers busting one up the middle. Will be a good game to get some playing time for the subs.

While I agree with you and loved to see the Holes fall on harder times after Mack left, Torbush is a good defensive coach and his defenses at Crapel Hell were hard hitting, physical and tough. Man, I feel dirty after saying anything even tangentially positive about Orange County Community College.

That is Nasir Player.

He is our best player on either side of the ball.

Does he (normally) line up on the right end of the D-Line? If so, that ought to be quite the matchup against our All-American Left OT, Aaron Stinnie.

I would have to check but I believe that he does. That will definitely be one to watch.

I hope so. Stinnie is already a NFL prospect. Getting more good film (assuming he does well) for the NFL people only helps. Same for Mr. Player going against a potential draft pick.

I think it's time for him to change his first name to Yesir and add a middle name Ima = Yesir Ima Player!

His name works if you ask him about things he isn't.
"Are you a welder?"
