So let me try to understand this because it is a little confusing. ODU gained no land because UMass lost week 1 as well? (and if we beat UNC this weekend we get none because they are also winless?)

Why is that confusing? If the team you are playing has no land then there is no land to take from them.

Yes. So like, the only way we (as of this map) get any land back right now is if USC wins again this week, and then we beat USC. Or UTSA wins out until our game.

Correct, they have no territory to take, so if you take their territory, you get no territory.

So by this map, I'll be pulling for UNT vs. Iowa.
Then USM over UNT :)

Basically, the only way you gain land is if you beat a team that won their most recent game. Even if you played 10-1 Alabama at the end of the season, if Alabama's loss came in the week prior, then they have no land to offer for a win.

To wit: ODU beat Albany, but since FCS schools weren't on the first map, no land. ODU beat UMass, but UMass lost its territory to Hawaii in Week 0, then Hawaii lost its territory to UCLA.

Middle Tennessee is the only CUSA school to actually win land this past week. Everyone else either lost, or they beat teams that had no land at stake (FCS teams and teams that lost their previous game). UTSA didn't get any land for beating Baylor, since they gave that up to Liberty, but they and ODU still have their original stakes because they're undefeated.

It doesn't mean squat, but it's a diversion.

Have to laugh at Texas. Don't see any coverage for UT or Texas A&M. I would have to say that they own the entire state even in Houston, San Antonio and Dallas.

Rice could win six games this year and never get any territory. The schedule is that bad.
