RE: Tigers vs UCF by the numbers
UCF has pretty padded stats for what its worth. FIU is terrible. They lost 3 fumbles so that gave UCF 3 more chances to score. FIU ran 55 plays to UCFs 78. two FIU players averaged more than 5 yards per carry. One of their runs was late during mop up minutes. my point being FIU as a team had 18 carries for 201 yards. we had one back who carried for 15 times and the rest of the team piled 24 carries.

not to mention the rain was so bad riley could barely throw the ball. last yr our offense averaged 35 passing attempts a game, last week 25. My point being it's one week of stats. nothing UCF did shows they are better than us

Key stats... after one game lol

the numbers are useless because ULM would have murdered FIU.
FIU was able to run the ball some on UCF. That should be our thoughts heading into this week. Run the ball, control the clock...keep their passing offense off of the field.
We have a stable of running backs who can run the ball..and if we run it steady enough for 3 quarters...UCF would be gassed by the 4th.
Their defensive line is a liability at this point...just like ours is.
Also...UCF's running game hasn't been spectacular. FIU keyed on the run and made UCF beat them throwing..which they did happily. If our secondary can get some stops and we key in on stopping their run...we have a fighting chance to win this.
Even with some missing defenders...our defense is way better than FIU's.
