Just your standard football pre-game posturing. Build up and flatter your opponent to ridiculous levels beyond any stretch of reality so if you lose it is understandable and if you win you look like miracle workers-----besides, no use putting a chip on your opponent's shoulder right before you play them. Anyway, this is such a well worn ploy I doubt that anyone with a functioning brain takes it seriously anyway.
