RE: Week 2 Sunbelt Projections!
38 points in the ULM game may be a little high. Who knows what kind of offense FSU will have this weekend. Their backup QB is like 6-5 and 180 pounds, offensive line is suspect. Who knows if this kid can take a hit???

So I'm giving ULM a punchers chance, a slim one, but not counting them completely out.

After the Alabama loss I think FSU will come out and have a strong showing. I hate that ULM is going to be in the cross hairs this week and even with QB issues at FSU this game might get out of hand quickly.

But you never know. Thats why you play the game. ULM might take advantage of a team that was beat up by Alabama. But I dont see it happening.

The team I watched at Auburn is not good enough to beat New Hampshire and one of the most underrated coaches in the country. Hopefully the game exposed weaknesses and they are fixable within a week a practice.

New Hampshire is coming off a win with Maine. But a trip to Statesboro will be to much for them. 21 point win is very doable for GA Southern.

Alright let's do it!!....

#10 Oklahoma State @ South Alabama
Cowboys looked pretty damn solid against Tulsa last week but they say you make your biggest improvements from week 1 to 2; I look for the Jags to play much more inspired, full 4 quarter football.
Okie State 45 South Alabama 33

Alabama State @ Troy
I look for the men of Troy to rebound from week 1's defeat at Boise in a big time way; Brandon Silvers bombs away and is done before halftime.
Troy 57 Alabama State 20

Texas State @ Colorado
This might get ugly fast for the Bobcats as Colorado looked solid all around after their week 1 victory over instate foe Colorado State, 17-3.
Colorado 52 Texas State 14

#18 Miami @ Arkansas State
Despite the overall impressive showing, gotta keep things into perspective: this Nebraska team is not the 'Cornhuskers of yesteryears and Miami is undoubtedly more talented all around. I feel this will be pretty similar to the 2014 game in Coral Gables
Miami 47 Arkansas State 30

Savannah State @ Appalachian State
Mountaineers will take out their week 1 frustrations on poor Savannah State.
App State 63 Savannah State 7

Louisiana @ Tulsa
Despite the blow out lost, the Golden Hurricane still looked offensively sound for the most part, putting up over 430 offensive yards and converting 16-26 third down attempts. The Cajuns meanwhile were outgained by over 150 yards against SE Louisiana and had to hold on for dear life in a surprising 51-48 victory over the Lions. If Cajuns want a shot at upending Tulsa on the road, they better find some consistent defense and fast.
Tulsa 55 Louisiana(@lafayette) 35

New Hampshire @ Georgia Southern
It might take a little while to get going, but Eagles will eventually find an offensive rhythmn and be able to pull away from the Wildcats for the first victory of the season.
Georgia Southern 35 UNH 17

Louisiana Monroe @ #3 Florida State
Boxing terms, Warhawks will keep their hands up and pray the Seminoles after awhile will just send it to the judges scorecards
Florida State 63 ULM 24

UNLV @ Idaho
UNLV turned the ball over 3 times in their home opening loss to Howard. Everything points to a big time Vandal victory
Idaho 38 UNLV 20

New Mexico State @ New Mexico
Aggies will carry their inspired performance in Tempe last week to Albuquerque and score both their first victory at New Mexico and back to back wins against their bitter foes since 2010.
NMSU 30 UNM 24

The defense I saw at Auburn could easily stop UNH for a few quarters, especially since their offense is struggling to find its identity too. Gnats, humidity, defense, homecrowd, and a cleaned up offense combine for a 3 touchdown win on Saturday.

Alabama State scored 6 points on Division II Tuskegee last week. I don't see them scoring 20 on what might be the best defense in the Sun Belt. Look to see an angry, fired up Troy. The team and coaches hated losing to Boise the way they did and are out to prove a point.

RE: Week 2 Sunbelt Projections!
I actually hate playing teams coming off embarrassing losses, especially when we beat them at their place the year before. If UNLV has any sort of pride at all, they're going to be stoked for this game. I'm more worried now than I would be if they'd blown out Howard.

True giving up 20 points to Alabama State would be catastrophic.

I figure you guys will play enough 2nd and 3rd strigners that Bama State will score a few points.

Best defense in the league maybe, but you guys are certainly going to be very vanilla on both sides of the ball scheme wise. No reason to give things away for opponents that are closer to your level.

Lets put it this way...The line is so crazy that if you win, it will be considered one of the bigger upsets in college football history point spread wise

Colorado is -35.5
