MAC West Players of the week, strange pick
Darius Phillips ST POW
But please explain how an EMU RB who gains 37 yards on 7 carries vs Chattanooga, gets the nod over Bellamy who had 102 on 9 carries against #4 USC?

Happy that Darius got recognized, but the Bellamy omission is a bit of a snub. We had more than one recognized in the same week last year.

Riiiiiiggghhhtttt....
EMU kid gets 37 yards on 7 carries. Bellamy gets 48 on one.
2 touchdowns, though...
Coached against Clarkston...Ian is a pretty good kid, but not a better RB than Bellamy. Not this week, or any other.

I mean, it's laughable because Toledo also had about 4-5 players alone that had better games than this kid. Might as well have given it to CMU's RB Ward, who had 150 yards and 1 TD.

This is nonsense.
They just did not want to award two players from the same team..."politically correct" BS.

Apparently reading comprehension isn't taught at WMU, its Charlotte not Chattaooga. Its right in the press release. And we won the Cartwright award this year for best overall athletic department in the MAC.

Extremely proud of Lavante, who earned the start over 2 amazing running backs. And he earned MAC West Offensive Player of the Week, whether recognized for it by the MAC or not. He did his work AT USC. Come on.

WhateverChatanooga/ Charlotte neither school is the likes of what Bellamy accomplished against USC the pick still doesn't make sense

Apparently, buying tickets and attending football games aren't taught at Eastern.
