FCS teams are college football? Who knew? They are still FCS. JMU got crushed by NCST 56-28 last year. In 2013 they were 6-6, gradually improving to a great year last year, one of which they still got spanked by a real FBS team. One great year doesn't mean they should be beating FBS teams like they did against ECU.
Once again you show your stupidity. We never played NC State last year moron.

I couldn't care who you lost to, but I did look again and now realize it was middle of the road North Carolina (8 and 5 I believe) who smashed you. Point is, any FBS team losing to FCS is not having a good year.

Unless you're...
2007 Michigan
2009 Temple
2010 Virginia Tech
2013 Kansas State
2015 Washington State
2016 Washington State
2016 Iowa

Those are just off the top of my head. People who don't know anything about FCS football really shouldn't comment. As someone who follows both subdivisions the stupidity and ignorance is comical...

2010 ACC Champ VT didn't have a good year after losing to us 21-16?

Just stop talking Temple guy,.. you are ignorant about the subject. You're embarrassing yourself.

The moral of the story, some FCS schools are better then others. If some day, JMU becomes an FCS power capable of taking down other FBS schools, then you have a point. Until that happens, I'm not sure what your point is.

Is JMU not an FCS power now?

I don't know. Does an FCS power beat an 8-5 New Hampshire team by 3 points, while giving up 512 yards passing, and are still called an FCS power? One of the top FCS teams, sure, but dominant power, questionable.

If you win the FCS National Title you are a power until you start to lose games or get dethroned. For now JMU is one of the few you can't look past in the FCS.

Beating an FCS team of any caliber is still better than losing to one by 20.... CMU and UConn are lucky to be 1-0. Baylor, ECU, and UNLV? Not so much. That doesn't mean ECU isn't still better than UConn though. I suspect JMU would knock the wheels off Holy Cross.

UCONN was lucky in the sense that the coaching staff recognized the problem and changed QBs with 16 minutes left in the game. I suppose Holy Cross was also lucky that Shirreffs didn't start the game because UCONN would have likely scored at least twice as many touchdowns. 07-coffee3

True, not knowledgeable of FCS but I do know many athletes who compete in both FCS and FBS and listen to them tell the stories, it's no comparison.

From the Harrisburg, Pa. area, we have had two potential HOF RBs in Shady McCoy and Ricky Waters from the same tiny school, Bishop McDevitt HS. I compete against against ex-Pitt Panther football players in different sports and in the weight room today.

So don't try to tell me there isn't a difference. There is. The speed, size and strength, and more importantly depth are superior as you go up a level. Obviously there are years that some FCS teams can beat lower FBS teams, but that shouldn't happen that often.

Then you should know all about Harrisburg native Chase Edmonds. The next Brian Westbrook....

Don't drink beer at all, do drugs, am 6'6" tall, 255 lbs. of muscle, who can still dunk a basketball. You can view my profile image to see my size. Want to come to Harrisburg to compete with me in the deadlift at the Y?

The object of the game is winning. Therefore, a win is always better than a loss.

UConn went with an unproven JC transfer quarterback and he stunk then Edsall was smart enough to put in proven Sheriff's an he rattled the cross Fast and Furious. If we lost to holy cross a it would have been disastrous

Yep. If ECU lost by 1 score or less to JMU I would entertain the argument, but they won by 20 and it wasn't even that close. So yes we all know JMU is a ton better than Holy Cross, but that doesn't excuse them rubbing our wee wee's in the dirt on our own field.

Since you don't know, let me help you. JMU was up 42-12 with less than 10 mins remaining in the referenced game. Forget the '8-5' record, UNH had a 17 game home win streak before that game. They met later in the playoffs and JMU was up 55-15 with :21 seconds left in the game.

Who are dominant powers in FCS if JMU isn't one? NDSU and.....? The only current FCS teams with more titles than JMU is NDSU and YSU (all in the 90s). There were certainly some down years (2010-2013) but I don't see how one argues there is only 1 FCS power team.

EDIT: Also will 8bit ever stop talking about us or will I need to lurk all season?

Really? The fact that you post this should be the answer. You guys got your dicks knocked in the dirt at home by an FCS team. Just stop.

You're assuming we claim East Carolina. Actually its something we'd rather get rid of. Like an a** fungus that has no cure. So please, no "you guys."

Your Memphis education sucks.

JMU would win the MWC, CUSA, MAC, and Sun Belt this year.
And the AAC and 4 or 5 SEC games plus an intergalactic championship....while we are making stuff up.
