Jared Gentry and Darian Porter will both miss the rest of the season for the Tigers. Jackson Dillon out for this week, will be evaluated.

Trying to find a bright side, two Freshmen, O'Bryan Goodson and Tim Hart, look ready to fill the void.

Pretty impressive for Goodson. True freshman who missed spring training, now starting in his 2nd game. Also nice to see John Tate, who was a big recruit, get an opportunity.

Anybody know what is up with Emmanuel Cooper? He was listed as 2nd string NT coming of of fall camp, IIRC.

It is a blow to the team and to the young men who worked very hard to play this season. I hope for a speedy recovery.

Maybe they will heal faster than predicted.

Didn't we lose 3 qbs one season. I'm must be getting old because I cant remember, seems like we played a tight end as qb and he did pretty well.

Yep. We lost one QB the first half of the first game, lost the 2nd QB in the first half of the second game and either lost a 3rd, or only had a WR that was a QB in high school that had to take over.

Here's hoping the kids heal up good for their futures off the field as well.

In 2005 Patrick Byrne and will hudgens a were injured early on, we may have played billy barefield at qb some that year also. Eventually mo Avery had to play qb. Even with that we'd still have beaten UT in Knoxville had tommy west just played Deangelo instead of getting all prideful and benching him the whole game

Maurice Avery as QB and DeAngelo were amazing in the Motor City Bowl win. That was a fun game. We got a little sloppy late in the 4th but pretty much dominated. There were some wildly awesome plays in that game.

It's worth watching on YouTube if u haven't seen it

Central Florida had a problem with their OL last season. I think that injury may hurt them too. Yeah, not as much as us on the defensive side of the ball of course.

Our defense must tackle and keep the ball in front of them.

I think that was the year Tommy West said he had some assistants scouting the rugby games on campus for a back-up QB, and eventually did employ the assistance of a 30-something graduate student who had played high school ball as QB, and served as a back-up QB for us for several games.
