RE: Updated: Dillon Also Out for Season, Gentry and Porter Out for the Season,
Dillon will most likely get a medical if he should choose to come back for a 6th year. Gentry will most likely get an extra year. Our defense will be pretty strong next year with all these 3 star and 4 star DBs getting experience. Our offense will be solid. If we can find a funtional QB with our returning receivers and running backs, next year may be a record setter.

You need to get your facts straight.
My facts are straight. Yours aren't. Deangelo wanted to play. I was at that game. Deangelo was pacing the sidelines hopping up and down wanting to go in. West got his panties in a wad because Deangelo, the guy who came back to school and gave up the big NFL contract asked to come off the bench to take it easier on his ankle.
Deangelo would've run all over them, they could not tackle Mo and doss had huge holes all day but never made anybody miss.
Tommy west was an a$$hole that day and cost us a win against utk

Deangelo went up to Tommy West before the UT game and suggested that he might be better coming off of the bench. He was a little dinged up...and Tommy said if that was the case...then maybe he just shouldn't play in the game at all. Tommy's opinion was that that was a big game for us...and people were going to have to step it up a notch...dinged up or not.
Joseph Doss started for us that day. Under 100 yards rushing for the game..and we still had a chance to win that game.
That's not how I remember it . . .
I think it was UAB the week before, a lineman or LB ankle tackled DW and rolled holding his foot, twisting it around. He didn't play any more that game. He was more than "a little dinged up".
West was a blowhard about it, I think on the Thursday radio show, and said something challenging to DW about playing, something like what you said, which I thought was stupid because DW had a lot more to worry about at that point in his career ($$$$). It would have been stupid to play at significantly less than 100% strength in his ankle and run the higher risk of injuring it more.
ankle sprain = dinged up. Tommy held him out of the rest of the UAB game so that he might be ready for UT game.
Tommy got disgusted when Williams suggested he should come off the bench.
Yep. Again, I was there. Anybody at that game watching Deangelo on the sidelines would know he was good to go and wanted to play.

One more defender out for year:

Mike Norvell says DB Tim Gordon is out for the year with an injury. He was probably the team's 4th or 5th corner.

We all might have to go APE if these injuries don't stop.
That's just sad news for him and the others.

Were you in the pregame meeting when DeAngelo asked to come off the bench and not start because he felt he was not ready to start??????
Do not know your personal dislike for TW and om what it was based. But it has been confirmed a number of time the decision originated with DeAngelo. He made a decision and it had unforeseen consequences.
You are either ready to play or you are not ready to play. If you say you'/re not ready then that is your choice.

Damn. Rupert was really playing well.
Tom Schad @Tom_Schad 3m3 minutes ago
Mike Norvell said Shaun Rupert is "going to be out for probably a pretty significant amount of time." Everyone else? "We'll see."

Does he start combing the frat houses asking "does ANYONE have DB experience?"

Mike Parks and Raynere Thornton look like they could play football. I bet Azab could block a FG.
