OT: TX A&M vs UCLA
UCLA just pulled off the second biggest comeback in NCAA history. ULCA 34 points unanswered with the record being 35 points for the biggest comeback. The game winning TD was from a fake spike.

Sumlin is on the hot seat and would not be surprised if the Aggies D coordinator gets fired tomorrow.

When UCLA scored to cut the lead to 44-17, I jokingly told my brother in law that the comeback had begun.

A UT-Longhorn fan who had been bitching about the Maryland game just texted me: "Yess!!! I feel like I can breathe again"

Forget the D coordinator. If Sumlin isn't fired, Mazzone (OC) needs to be. A&M led 44-10 in the second half after running the ball down UCLA's throat all game. The starting QB had gotten hurt and the back up couldn't throw worth anything. So anyone with half a brain would just keep running the ball, but no. Pass play after pass play meant the A&M offense couldn't muster anything. If A&M keeps running the ball, chewing the clock, and scoring even a couple more times, no amount of "Chosen Rosen" would keep the Aggies out of the win column. John Chavis isn't at fault here. Noel Mazzone and Kevin Sumlin are.

I can kinda see that, but losing by one point in the 4th quarter @ UCLA after you had dominated the game for 3 quarters isn't quite the same as losing by double digits at home to Maryland. The Aggies just choked. The 'Horns had a brief 7-0 lead 3 plays into the game after a pick-6, and Maryland pretty much imposed their will from that point on.

I agree with every word of that. I think my Bevo-friend was simply taking solace from Aggie-pain as a distraction from Bevo's own pain, even if UT's pain is worse and more difficult to cure.

Sumlim deserves to be fired. You have to dig down deep to find a way to lose that game. The entire state of Texas should be ashamed of the current state of Texas football. Maybe you guys have some good DII teams.

RE: OT: TX A&M vs UCLA
state of Texas football problems are multi-fold, including but not
limited to the following:
1. HS teams are spread happy and over emphasize 7on7 so that there is no development of either line while the athletes are funneled towards offensive skilled positions instead of developing quality defenders.
2. there are too many in state college football teams. the wealth of talent is being fed to too many programs
