D Henderson
First off i am NOT making any kind of claim that he is on same level. But that 2nd long TD run. Did it seem to have a DeAngelo like feeling to it. The quick change of direction and explosive move to the open field.

Of course the competition level is not on par, but that was a sweet move.

Any idea what kind of tweek that Dorceus had in pregame which slowed him in the game?

This team seem to have very good G5 speed.

Collectively, the backfield is stacked and young with Henderson and Taylor. Fun to watch.

Hard to beat DeAngelo but I'm thinking Henderson could be close to the best we've had...he won't get the carries like D did....but he's the man...if he stays healthy, might be some records to be broke.

I hope we can run the ball against them like A&M did tonight

382 yards, 5 rushing TDs

Henderson is a stud

I implied the same in the game thread. It reminded me of the run where DeAngelo was looking at the jumbotron when he scored.

we're going to HAVE to run the ball against them to have a chance to win.
Our defense is thinner than dental floss right now at some key positions for us. Rosen looked very good in the 4th quarter for the Bruins last night.

Er, you realize deangelo owned the all-purpose NCAA yardage record when he left here? And most 100 yard game record. Not school or conference. NCAA history. Everybody who ever played.

His records aren't getting broken

Which one, Taylor, Henderson, Pollard, Miller or one of the freshmen?

I was posting about Henderson, but the other guys I've seen have beep-beep speed, also. Every play is a potential touchdown.

Henderson has his own style. He is lightning in open field.
He really does not remind me of deangelo

Henderson doesn't remind me much of DeAngelo either.

But so what? He has a different style that is exciting and dangerous. Love to watch this guy.

Never said he was like DeAngelo, just that the particular move has some aspects of DeAngelo. He saw a crack in the coverage in the side of his eyes made the cut and took off for the open field.

Deangelo had that elite cutback move that none of these guys have, but the long run where there was a nice block around the 10 yard line reminded me of a deangelo run. It was like the UTEP run with the billy bare field block minus juking the entire other team twice.

I know what you mean, and agree.

jgardne, Nobody said he would even get close to D's records. For one thing, D was the only back we used. Now we have 4. What the OP was pointing out was that Henderson has that knack for cutting away from the defensive backs instead of just trying to plow through them like everyone else seems to try these days.

Haha.

Might want to let the teams in the AAC know that:

James Madison 34 ECU 14
Ok. State 59 Tulsa 24
Notre Dame 49 Temple 16
